Molly I moved this down to Unsolved for you. You'll get more attention paid to it down there.
When did you read this? Was it a pot-boiler, mystery or what? Where did you find it--library, bookstore, Walmart? Was it a paper book, e-book or audiobook? How did you find it--was it recommended to you, you saw a review, a "teaser" chapter in the back of another book, the cover caught your eye, or the blurb on the back of the book?

The genre is contemporary and the author is female. Another thing I remember about the book is that the end had an author's note that was a "therapy session" between the author, the mother, and the two daughters.
I remember something else: the oldest daughter was the editor of a financially unsuccessful, feminist magazine for young woman.
The youngest daughter goes to a religious club and becomes friends with the son of the woman who ran away with her father. She becomes pregnant, but she miscarries her baby.
