This was a beautiful, deep picture book with, I believe, watercolor illustrations. Birds are called to a great meeting and sent on a journey to find something. It's a long and hard journey. Can you help?

What kinds of birds are sent on the quest?

Is this book for young kids (32 to 48 pages, typically) or young adults (teens)?

It was sort of an all-ages picture book. All kinds of birds were on the quest. I read it about two years ago.

It was The Conference of the Birds, but it was by Peter Sís, not Lumbard. And what a book...
