Soooo sick of mosquitos, ants, spiders, roaches, and snakes fleeing the high water and trying to get in my house, garage, and porch. FYI I live on a lake in Florida. Yard flooded, road flooded. On the bright side, my house suffered no damage and we were only out of power for 26 hours while some of my neighbors just got power back yesterday and have water in their garages, and in their homes.

Count your blessings!!!!! Lots of bug spray prescribed!
Indeed, that why I am complaining here. I can't possibly whine to others in person locally when we got off so lightly. We were very lucky...mine are minor inconveniences. Just explaining my lack of presence lately really.

I simply can't imagine how the people at three of our favorite places--Key West, St. Martin, and St. John--must feel. We are just sick about what happened.
Nature is nature. Part of the risk we take living where we live. The Keys and islands definitely got the worst of it.
Currently have no hot water or heating... someone came in to fix something today and now nothing works...
I tapped the keyboard loudly. 35 minutes to wait to talk to someone. Our account does not have the ability to book online although it should. I booked someone to come in again tomorrow afternoon via online chat.
I'm trying to cancel it now. Husband found out which bit the engineer hadn't switched back on again. For reasons, I cannot manage my account online. So they may have a wasted journey.
Never heard back about getting an ad for the radio show..that was like 3 months ago. Its fine though moving on to other things.

Sorry, Justin, I referred it to the people who do the ads, every time. I don' t know why it fell through the cracks.

I'm confused. It doesn't take much. I've finally created an Author Central page on Amazon US. I've added my ridiculous bio and my scary photo and I've attempted to link my Blogger rss feed thingy to the US Author Central. Fine. So why can't I find the same option for linking my blog to the UK Author Central? Anyone know? It just appears to be absent from my options. Boooooo.

Well how utterly stoooopid is that?
Here's a good article on optimizing your Author Central pages internationally:https://www.janefriedman.com/amazon-a...
Aside from the US and UK, the countries that offer Author Central pages at this time are:
France
Japan
Germany
Here you can see one of my client’s Author Central Pages across several countries, they’re robust, engaging and keep all of the author’s books in one place so the readers can spot them easily. I’m including the US and UK in here too so you can see how they compare!

Ted, it's taken me a year to get around to doing the US one, the others require Google translate and will do doubt have me with submitting an even weirder bio! :)
I've had all but Japan set up for years...now, am attempting to do the latter. Had to establish an Amazon account in Japan, and then, start to identify my books. After the first one, they stopped and said they had sent me an e-mail to verify my account. Still have no received it. Not sure I want to screw around with a page for my pen name. Sometimes, the game isn't worth the candle. And yes, everything I do is in English, of course.
Right, done them. What's next? I only have one entity published so claiming mine in Japan was easy.I still don't know why I got a royalty announcement yesterday saying that I'm getting something from Japan, my reports say zilch.
Hmmmm, mine just turned up. Not much of an idea what it said and I was too lazy to translate it, I clicked some things. I've probably ordered something random.
Here we are in Japan:https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/e/B003EDFMI0
Booyah!
I had to call Author Central, and an agent kindly helped me. The Japan platform is separate from the others, which makes it difficult to work with. I'm not going with the Full Monte here (videos, etc.). Enough is enough.
Ah, well done Ted. There's mine: https://www.amazon.co.jp/Amy-J-Hamilt...
Alex, you sell. I haven't had a sale in weeks. My entire writing career is hinged on Carole reading Missing Remnants on Radish!

Speaking of English, on the Japanese Platform, you have to look for your books under "foreign language."
Well that's allowed. I wish I could say don't worry. But we all know how pointless that phrase is.Actually I lied, I haven't sold anything on Amazon in weeks, but I'm racking up a whole 3 Radish coins a week. Yay :D
I'm annoyed because I have lost my job but I also have a new book that just came out last week around the same time I lost my job. I am unable to financially purchase a couple of books to try and sell. I was planning on trying to set up another book sale(even though my last one with my first book was terrible) but I have no books. I already have created a book signing kit(a bag of decor I use to set up a table) but no book. It seems like I can't get this book known and sold due to my situation. I managed to finally purchase 1 personal copy to show people but I'm really struggling with promoting this book. I couldn't even go out and celebrate(dinner at restaurant) like I planned on the day it was released. So much I had planned to do with this book but now unable too and I do not have a lot of support locally as an author. People just congratulate me or become shocked when they learn that I am an author but not many books sell locally. And I made a big leap this time around with my book. This book is not only on Amazon but it also made it onto Barnes and Nobles. That's a first for me and a huge accomplishment. Sorry for typing so much. Just needed to rant.

I noticed that your book is selling retail for $6.99. This means that with your author's discount on CreateSpace, you should be able to purchase copies for half that price (roughly; plus shipping). You are aware of that, right?

Beautifully written . . .
By Theodore J. Cohen on September 21, 2017
Format: Paperback
These are lovely poems, not about love in the sense most people think of the emotion, but rather, about love between soulmates . . . something, perhaps, more difficult to capture and articulate. Ms. Hockaday truly understands and captures the essence of these feelings, and for that, the reader is greatly enriched.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a candid review. The opinions are my own.

Yeah, I've forgotten what we said now too. The conclusion is hell will freeze over before I get around to translating my books into Japanese. Although I would like to know what triggered the mysterious royalty alert from Amazon Japan!
