Just to kick things off ... I'm still reading Naamah's Blessing by Jacqueline Carey, but should be finishing it sometime in the next day or two. She writes so beautifully ...

Death's End became a DNF for me for the moment. I grew bored with it. So, instead I've been reading The Just City, which I got as a free monthly ebook from Tor. I'm really liking it so far.I'm also nearly finished with Shadow's Edge.
I started reading Wizard's First Rule and I'm nearly done. Then I'll be starting First Rider's Call since last month I read the first book in the series.
Helen wrote: "Thanks Joseph, I 've had visitors and didn't notice it was missing. I'm reading The Killing Moon"Happy to help! And I Need to read the Dreamblood Duology one of these days. In the meantime, though, I finished Naamah's Blessing, which was a fine finish to both the trilogy and to the entire Kushiel series (although I won't be sad if Carey goes back to that world at some point), and started Sword Woman and Other Historical Adventures, the final in Del Rey's series of Robert E. Howard collections.

: )
Juggling two books right now. In the spirit of the season Patrick: Son of Ireland (historical fiction more than fantasy). Fantasy read - Ice Land
Done with Shadow's Edge. It was really good. Love that ending. Now I've been reading Norse Mythology.
Reading Deadhouse Gates, the Black Lung Captain (still), and the Thousand Names..Will have to restart Curse of The Mistwraith later on because of life things being life of course :) it needs more dedication than I could give at the time

If you post in the DHG thread I'll tag along. That one along with MOI and TBH are my tied for first favorites ever.
Thousand Names is also a great book.
I started The Liar's Key. So far I am enjoying it. Mark really has great talent when it comes to good writing and tying back events to some previous comment.
Just started the first Felix Castor novel by Mike CareyThe Devil You Know. I've liked the other collaborative books I've read by him and his family (The City of Silk and Steel, The House of War and Witness). This one seems a different style, more urban than high fantasy, but hopefully it will pan out as well as the others.

I upset all the people I buddy read with this by not loving it as much as them. I liked it a lot but it wasn't a fave. The next two just blew me away, awesome.

Totally! I've got book 3 in my sights.

Me too. Nearing the end of book 2 now then onto book 3 and perhaps Gunlaw!
Finished Reading The Demon King. It was okay, but I won't be carrying on with the series. Didn't have enough to hold my interest. I'm now reading 3 Malazan novellas as per the Ultimate Reading Order. First up is Blood Follows
Helen wrote: "I upset all the people I buddy read with this by not loving it as much as them. I liked it a lot but it wasn't a fave. The next two just blew me away, awesome"I'm with you, Helen. I almost didn't continue to book 2, but then I saw that it was only $1.18 on Kindle at the time, so I figured why not. I'm glad I decided to buy it because book 2 and 3 were just fantastic.
I'm reading Phantom Pains
by Mishell Baker and really liking it. I was a little apprehensive that it wouldn't live up to the great first book in the series, Borderline, but so far it's great!

I have 25% left and I can say that I enjoyed the first half more, but I am still loving it. Good the know that the next two are even better!
I just noticed I didn't have my review of The Black Prism, I really loved this tale and I believe it will be one of the first I finish as a series.

I just finished Red Rising a couple weeks ago - enjoyed it very much. Nice mixture of Hunger Games and Ender's Game themes while bringing its own ingredients into the mix. I seem to enjoy dystopian futures where young people are put into a do or die situation and allow the best and worst of human nature to emerge.
I wont rave that is the best book ever like some reviews I see, but I am excited that I often hear that books 2 and 3 are even better.
Just finished The Bazaar of Bad Dreams by Stephen King. It was a very solid, enjoyable collections of short stories. I would rate probably half of them as excellent. If you are a King fan, and really everyone should be (lol - I think he can breathe more life into 15 pages of a story than most authors can do in a 2000 page trilogy), you should definitely give this one a read. His skills as an amazing storyteller just continue to mature!
Reading The Mirror’s Truth by Michael R. Fletcher. This is as amazing as the first book, Beyond Redemption
I finished Norse Mythology last night. Loved it. It was fantastical. Now I've started Nova. I won it in a Goodreads giveaway. :)
Finished Sword Woman and Other Historical Adventures by Robert E. Howard, which was excellent, and started to reread D'Aulaires' Book of Norse Myths for the first time in many, many, many years -- I need to read the Gaiman book, but I wanted to go back to a childhood favorite first, just to cement that version in my memory.
I've finished The Wise Man's Fear, my eyeballs are now kind of like: O O, lol. I did manage to put together what passes for a review for me.Next up is The Slow Regard of Silent Things, and then I'll have run out of all the Rothfuss in the house. I have absolutely no idea what to follow it all with, I suspect whatever it is will need to be very fluffy by comparison. Another run of hefty epic fantasy would be unfair while Kvothe is still rattling around in my head.
Finished D'Aulaires' Book of Norse Myths, which was just as good as I remembered it being, and decided it was finally time to check out the Gentleman Bastard with The Lies of Locke Lamora.
Joseph wrote: "Finished D'Aulaires' Book of Norse Myths, which was just as good as I remembered it being, and decided it was finally time to check out the Gentleman Bastard with [book:The Lies of Loc..."The lies of locke lamora is great great book!! hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
I finished The Slow Regard of Silent Things, review here.I couldn't find anything immediately fluffy looking, so now I'm reading some urban fantasy, Obsidian Son. About 10 chapters in, it's good so far.
Javier wrote: "Joseph wrote: "Finished D'Aulaires' Book of Norse Myths, which was just as good as I remembered it being, and decided it was finally time to check out the Gentleman Bastard with [book:..."Very much agree - all 3 in the Locke series are fun rollicking adventures!
I finished Curse of the Mistwraith and The Gathering Storm. I am now reading New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson which is definitely a Cli-Fi, but I'm not sure yet if it's a Sci-Fi.
Krista, I enjoyed Howl's Moving Castle...I moved it up on my list after reading an earlier post by Tnkw01.Started The Wretched of Muirwood. Too early to tell how good it is, but I've read another book by this author, The Queen's Poisoner, and enjoyed that so I'm expecting an equally enjoyable read from this one.

I've actually looked at this book a time or two and can't decide if I want to read it. I'm interested to see if you like it.
