Jenny | 2 comments I read it in middle school but it was very mature for my age at the time. It was fiction and in a female POV.

I remember it's cover picture. It had a line separating the cover in the middle. On the left was completely yellow with the title and author's name. The right is a girls face (Or legs, I can't remember).

Onto the plot. Well I remember tid bits of it. In started in the beginning of the school year and the school was introducing new teachers while the girls checked them out.

The girl and teacher start dating but on one of the dates, the teacher, in his apartment, tries to rape her (And he locked the door with a key) but, i don't remember what exactly happened, she somehow hurt him and got away.

Extra tid bit, they mentioned about a senior prank (Last years was a toilet paper peace sign but one of the fingers fell off and it became an insult) and this year was some rolling marbles trick.

There was also another girl who was victim to the same teacher but she turned into a loner until the female protagonist found out and talked to her about it.

I'm assuming that this was a YA, rather than a children's chapter, since 1) the subject matter is a bit mature for a children's book and 2) you talk about them being in high school.

What is the genre of the story--suspense, coming-of-age, mystery? Was it part of a series, do you remember? When were you in middle school? Where did you find the book--library, book store etc.?

The book was a stand alone, I was in middle school from 2009-2012. The book was from my school library.

As for Genre, i can't remember except that it was Fiction and Romance. I'm sure there was other genre's though.

Possibly Unteachable? It's a year later than your range and the cover is similar to what you describe but not exact.

Unteachable by Leah Raeder

Or Friction?

Friction by E.R. Frank

Also look at this listopia.
