Overused plots in YA fantasy

Mona I've noticed a few trends in YA fantasy books for quite a while now. Either people from different kingdoms try to take over another kingdom, or they try to revolt against their own. The main character always ends up as queen or king. While books such as these can be very entertaining, I've grown quite tired of them after having read like 40.
When I went to bookstore yesterday, I looked at descriptions of a couple fantasy books, and some of them would seem really interesting and original, but then I would get to a part that said something along the lines"war is brewing", or "she suddenly gets caught up in a dangerous scheme with {inserts rebel group's name}." Is there NOTHING else out there???!! Are there no fantasy books with more unique plots?Retelling recommendations are fine too.

I agree. Maybe the authors of these books use other books for inspiratiation instead of their own mind, causing them to take some of their plot. Some of their style.

Phoenix2 I see your point. Maybe they know it's the recipe of success that plot or they just read too much YA and they end up writing similar books without realizing it.

True like you said. Some of the voices of other authors are molded into their style. It's like the books was rewritten just with different words and names inserted .

I actually think Red Queen is like Avatar the there are different nations rebelling against each other.Come on!We need new minds in this world. (An aspiring author reads this conversation and thinks "You know what? I'm going to show you that I will make something different! I will write a book that is far more unique than anyone else's!"). We're waiting mystery savior out there, we are all waiting.
