What is honesty? That's a moot question. That's like saying: what is good? I like to use this analogy: I have an itch that persists, and when I scratch it, it hurts sooo good.

Honesty may hurt, the reason people don't like to hear the truth. Could we use more honesty? It depend on how you use it.

Many were offended when Trump said that America has lost its greatness. Some people have come to understand that, while others continue to hate Trump for saying it. My experience: people don't like honesty. They like illusions. You see it in the movies, books, TV shows. A whole generation of American kids grew up on an illusion of feeling good about themselves. They were told they could do anything and become anything. This illusion didn't work. It didn't make for better people. It made them lazy, but happy and satisfied about themselves.

It's interesting that the developer said he first had the site in mind for employees who had difficulty giving their bosses feedback. Understandable :)

GR: Great comment and observation. I could not agree more. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer absolutes. Everything is relative. Honesty is what one thinks it is which may be far off from how another might define it...... and live it. Part of the problem is that the churches lost their stature many years ago with priests lurking behind trees looking for little boys and evangelists stealing money from the public and presenting the absolute wrong type of moral examples. The other part of the problem is the simple creeping prevalence of moral rot throughout society...... in the name of self-indulgence. Honesty and the lack thereof are, in my opinion, by-products of the above.
