Sophia (Bookwyrming Thoughts) (hannahsophialin) | 346 comments So... I'm trying to be a bit proactive in a way for the school year coming up and I might be really busy with Tech School (Medical specifically).

I'm sort of wondering how I should go about coblogging. Should I do an application, which would feel really weird because that's like asking a random stranger into my house... or should I do that and allow those that I'm interested in having as a possible coblogger guest post for a certain amount of time?

I think you should do whatever makes you most comfortable. What are you looking for? What kind of posts do you want the blogger to do? I think once you etch out your plans then I would go forth and just find someone who fits your blog and decide together how often you want them to blog. If that makes any sense :P

It does. I sort of want to do an application since I'm looking for 2 sections in particular - Gaming and Books. But I also want to look for someone who's interested IN coblogging, though for that I'd rather someone I know since I won't be going in blindly then.

Tessa | 177 comments I run my blog along with two of my friends. But recently there have been a lot of people in this group who have sent out applications for co-bloggers and have gotten plenty of responses. If you cannot find anyone you know to be your partner in blogging, then I would suggest sending the application to people in this group. I promise we won't bite.

I agree about finding a blogger here if you can't find someone you know.

@Sophia If an application is more suitable I say go for it since you're looking for two separate things.

Good thing about that (the not biting part)! I might do that, but I'm currently going to try on my own for awhile. Coblogging's sort of a last resort for me if I'm extremely busy. I'm only curious of any ideas in case. :3

Hmm... I might have to work on that then.

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) I posted on this group and two others that I was looking for a co blogger. I had a few people that responded, but I went with the one I was most comfortable with. She is amazing! I am glad I found her.

So, I would say do what you feel the most comfortable doing.

Cheryl (Gwyneiira's Book Blog) (gwyneiira) | 63 comments I feel like getting a co-blogger due to time difference. There's practically a 12 hour time difference between here and USA, and it feels like I'm missing out on interacting time...

Fortunately I'm in the US... although that might change in the future. :p

I think I'll stick with choosing a few people as guest posters. The others might be on a waiting list instead... :p

Melissa (melissabaez) Hi! I was just wondering about about co-blogging. I recently made a new blog and as mush as I love it, I don't think I'll be able to keep up due to studying. But at the same time I wouldn't want some stranger. It's my baby ;)
I'd love to send out an application but how would I go about that? What do I ask?

Most people tend to ask the basics - Name, Country, Review Samples (or Writing Samples could work as well if they don't have a review), sometimes maybe someone will ask WHY you want to blog at a site. I did have to ask some people if they could handle two blogs as well (not easy as it seems!), so that might be a question you may ask after a person applies and you're interested in having them as a coblogger.

But as a few have already said, Melissa, go with who you're most comfortable with. In reality, I'm more comfortable with blogging with 2 of my real life friends (who will be joining soon) and thus speak more (heh, conspire more) with them while I rarely make a peep to my current coblogger aside from the occasional blogging related stuff.

EDIT: Social media is also found as well in an application. Twitter and Goodreads are the most common ones, but definitely Goodreads. I am, however, by no means an expert in coblogging since I started several months ago.
