I assume the Kalevala is set in Finland, but since the author is from the US, I wanted to make sure it's OK for Option 1 befo..."
Well, I would assume the same, based on the book's name and short description. I can approve it, but since the description on the GR page is not very clear and the setting is not directly mentioned, I would recommend that when you post, you include also a reference link or quotation from the book to establish the country, as the mods probably aren't very familiar with the Finnish national epic.

Both look fine!

Thanks"
I'm sorry Meg, I specified in the task description that mere snowflakes are not enough.

I'll definitely have a read of some of her others.

Yes, the sun is visible, so it works.

Sure, the sun is clearly visible, so enjoy! Haven't read the book, but loved the movie.

It looks like there is some snow on the ground as well in addition to the snowflakes, so yes.

Baring that, Would you approve this book as written by a Finnish author?

Sure Andy, the snow is clearly visible. Funny coincidence, I just read the same book for another task. And of course Tove Jansson works for a Finnish author; her writing is beautiful, I can really recommend her.

LOL, although the sun on the cover resembles more a giant orange, I take it to be a sun! So yes.

Thanks! :-)

Thanks"
Sure, that's plenty of snow.
