I really liked this book and I have to agree, it was much better than the movie. The friendships in the novel and the dog were pretty cool as well.

I didn't dislike it just wasn't my favorite. But I don't remember why I think I need to reread it.

Yeah... If I remember correctly. There are a lot of background books, the books that give you accounts of other characters... I've have to get my hands on those!
