Banana Cream Pie Murder - the title reminds me of a road rage incident here in Boulder a year or two ago. Someone followed another driver home upset at their behavior on the road. They emerged from the vehicle throwing a pie.
I don't have Netflix but our library carries series DVD's so I am on season 3 of Orange is the new black.anyone who watches House of Cards my cousin creates wigs mostly for Broadway but did the main female characters wig(I never seen it do idk who that is)

I just looked up my Boulder Pie Incident & turns out it was a Pecan Pie in 2015. It was reported on several sites, but here is the first one I found when I searched if you're interested:

I love Orange is the New Black. I am Old School so I am usually behind the times waiting for DVD.

I didn't like either of those either. Rory was better than that.

As I said before, I just finished Gilmore Girls on Netflix and I am working on Man in the High Castle on Amazon Prime now. Next up, either the last season of Longmire, or Orange is the New Black, or Grace & Frankie. I'm looking forward to a new season of House of Cards. I think that comes in May.

I watched some of house of cards a while ago and then stopped-I should probably get back to it-love Kevin Spacey.
I love Grace & Frankie! :)
finished The Dry
-it works for the Australia task. I had this book marked as currently reading for a while but didn't actually start reading it until recently-it ended up being a pretty good mystery. The setting is a big part of this book which was really interesting. The wild tropical birds must be awesome, the big ass spiders not so much. :D

Dustin Crazy little brown owl wrote: "Who is still interested a group read for Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil?"I'm not much of a rereader but I listened to it last year and remember it well enough to discuss it. It's a great audiobook.

I am still planning to experience Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil in the near future. Will set it up for a group read if there is still enough interest :-)
I got 2 discs into "The Red Garden" by Alice Hoffman, just cant finish it. But would like to see about obtaining a copy of Midnight from the library.Happy Easter, Happy Spring, Happy Reading!

I listened to
, which works for #3. Although I found the book interesting and morbid, I found my mind wandering at times. Could be stress.

finished The Joy Luck Club
for the mother daughter task. Liked it-didn't love it but glad I finally got around to reading it. I saw the movie years ago.

Yes. It has been a lot quieter than most seasonal challenges. Maybe the Month of May will be a Wild Month of Reading :-)
Its going to have to be a "wild month of reading". I just went to the library and a bunch of books I had requested, have come in! Yikes! I did just finish
I was really surprised how much I got out of this book. Military stuff is not my thing but I am curious and I think Mary Roach's strength is writing to the curious.

Glad you liked Mary Roach-She has an interesting approach to writing her books to say the least, lol. I should probably read her again soon.

Really, I think the only Mary Roach book I've read is the one about the lives of human cadavers.
Do you think Roach is her real name? Because every time I see her name I think of cockroaches. I wonder if it's just a publicity stunt.

It's weird because usually I can fit a lot of the books I'm reading into the challenge without even trying, but this time none of my Dean Koontz books seem to fit. It's not that I only read Dean Koontz, but yes I mostly read Dean Koontz :-)
I still plan on reading Midnight in the GARDEN of Good and Evil - that's the only upcoming title I have to fit into the challenge. If I want to read anymore, I'm actually gonna have to put in some effort this time. We'll see.

That's the only one I've read (actually listened to) so far-would like to check out more of her books. I don't know about her last name-it does sound like a pen name.

fyi- Many of dean's books will work for the upcoming summer challenge. :)

I have been listening to "Room" sometimes while driving, sometimes just want to hear the road or music, but am waiting on a few audios from the library. My work truck is on the verge of breaking down, which I hope it will run until I leave for vacation in June. Hope all is well!
Didn't participate in Naked Gardening day. Any of you participate?

I survived Naked Gardening Day!
I love Room. Have you seen the film already? I watched the film first and that made me want to read the book.
Does the hedgehog live at your house?

Haven't seen the film, but am enjoying the audio. The hedgehog lives at our house, in our sons bedroom. Today when he was out he pooped on Tommy then peed on his bed. We are getting use to each other. What an adorable creature!!

I read the book. While the subject matter was disturbing, it was also beautifully written and a touching story. I loved the relationship between mother and son. They both were brave.
Hedgehogs are so cute.

The film version of Room is excellent - very emotional - I highly recommend it.
My first hedgehog had severe anxiety issues so she pooped every time I got her out. My new hedgehog has a much calmer & easy going personality - she has never pooped on me and she has never bitten me.
