Gwen generally does her best to relate to the people around her. She easily befriends them, and has a great memory of all the little tidbits of people’s lives she learns. Gwen is, as some might call her, the more human element, hence why she chose to take on Communications. Communicating is Gwen’s strong suit, as her way of doing things is to get to know the people around her, relate to them, and maybe learn something from them. However, Gwen can be very judgemental of others. She forms an opinion of people before she really knows them, and can carry that around for a very long time. And if you get on her bad side, which is rather difficult to do, by the way, you’d better get accustomed to it, because Gwen will judge you by this for the rest of time. And she’s not afraid to let her judgments show, though she does have some tact. Some.
Gwen has a tendency to protect others. It doesn’t matter to her if they’re able to protect themselves or not, she will take it upon herself to defend them. Protecting others comes naturally to Gwen, after all. Despite the fact that she is an only child, she was always protecting younger kids at school, and has continued that habit. Though, sometimes people get annoyed by Gwen. She’s incredibly restless; she can’t sit still at all, and always has to be moving. She’s fidgety, and can’t quite control it, which leads to others getting frustrated. This is because Gwen has ADHD. This causes her restlessness, and though it’s a lot better now than it used to be, she still has issues sitting still.

U N childhood
Gwen Scarlett is an only child, born in London to a single, teenage mother. Rhea Scarlett raised her daughter all on her own, struggling for much of it, though she did her best. She’d been kicked out of her family’s house when she got pregnant, and had no one to turn to for help. But she loved her little girl. Growing up, Gwen believed life was good. To her, life was a fairy tale, where she always found her prince and her mummy was a queen. But that simply wasn’t true. The Scarletts lived in a dump of a flat, Rhea hardly had money to send Gwen to school, and nothing was as good as Gwen wanted to believe it was. They managed, though, thankfully. Gwen got a good education, despite the money issues, because Rhea wanted the best for her daughter.

When Gwen got older, however, she started to get anxious to leave. The daydreaming that had started when she was little only continued, but now she daydreamed about leaving home, about getting out of her mother’s flat. Gwen wanted more. Sure, she loved her mother, of course she did, but the life she lived with her wasn’t what she wanted. She couldn’t stand it. So Gwen worked hard in school, and as soon as she could, she left home. She was scooped up by SHIELD shortly after, and while she was a little wary of the organization, she accepted their offer. She blew through the Academy - of course, she had her issues, she’s no genius, but she did well. She made friends, she enjoyed her time there.

And now we’re up to the present. Out of the Academy, Gwen is currently an agent-in-training, though she wishes she could hurry up and become a real agent already. She’s started a playful rivalry with a friend from the Academy, Elias, who is already a full agent and likes to tease her. But honestly, Gwen’s pretty content with where she is in her life. She calls her mother at least once a week, to ensure her that she’s all right.
