Shelley | 1225 comments Which one of these people doesn't belong and why?

Lee Anthony Evans
Gary Leon Ridgway
Bill Wegerle
Charles Cullen
Aldrich Ames

There is a more obvious answer but there is also a more subtle reason why they don't belong. That's the one I am after.

Fishface | 18932 comments So you're saying there is both an obvious and a subtle reason the same guy doesn't belong?

message 3: by Shelley (last edited Mar 01, 2017 04:48PM) (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments One guy is not a criminal but all the others are. That is the obvious reason. There is something else that sets the noncriminal apart from the others.

message 4: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments Well, then, I have to go with Bill Wegerle. He never did anything much wrong. The subtler difference is that he was suspected of murder for something like 18 years but was finally cleared.

message 5: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments You're on the right track...keep going with that train of thought. :)

message 6: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments He was cleared in part by his own son, who was an eyewitness to his mother's murder.

Shelley | 1225 comments BZZT

message 8: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments then it's way too subtle for me! That's everything I've learned about Bill Wegerle after reading 2 books about the case.

message 9: by Shelley (last edited Mar 02, 2017 04:14PM) (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments You might find it easier to say what the other four have in common that's unique.

OR think about the reasons why they thought Bill was guilty besides the fact that he was the husband.

message 10: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments They're a-holes?

message 11: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments LOL Want me to tell you?

message 12: by Shelley (last edited Mar 02, 2017 04:20PM) (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments Besides, being an a-hole isn't very unique in that crowd. You read books about the case with Bill Wegerle. Can you think of one of the reasons why they thought he was guilty (besides being the husband)?

message 13: by Fishface (last edited Mar 02, 2017 04:22PM) (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments I never knew a reason beyond the fact that he WAS the husband.

message 14: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments He took a lie detector test and failed but was innocent. The other four all took lie detector tests and passed but were guilty.

message 15: by Fishface (new)

Fishface | 18932 comments Wow, I had no idea. Poor Bill! Of course, this just proves everyone's point about lie detectors. They only measure how upset you are by the questions. Who wouldn't be upset being asked about the murder of his wife?

Oh goodie, I picked the right one but didn't post because I am always wrong. **grins**
