Jack | 3 comments Unfortunately I can't remember the author's name, or the book title, but...

I remember reading a review a couple of years ago of a book that was the latest in a series by this one postmodern author/artist who had taken an old 19th century book and basically cut and pasted words, or drawn on the page, blocked out or highlighted words etc to make a completely new story.

I believe he first did this in the 1960s, and has basically been revisiting this idea since then - he's released maybe 5 or 6 completely different versions of the same book using this idea. Sounds fascinating but I have no idea what to even search for! Any ideas?

Tathariell | 173 comments I don't think it is the one you are looking for, since it was a one-off, not a series, but Tree of Codes has the same concept. The author took "street of crocodiles" and cut out bits of each page to make a new story.

Andy, honestly, I can't tell you how relieved and happy you've made me! This was frustrating me so much. I've ordered it. Thank you! People like you make me believe in the internet
