I was thinking really weirdly that at one point Maxine could see Enzo actually wanting to take care of his child and being really fatherly and everything and getting jealous and making William take care of Zoey even if he says no because she thinks it's a similar situation and she doesn't think it's very fair for him to not be accepting of his child too

By not making a big deal about it. The more she makes him do things, the less he actually wants to do them.
He barely does things even when she doesn't ask him though. The most he's done is just hold the baby.

But that's because she's always nearby. If he was left alone with the baby, it's not like he's so irresponsible that he'd call her just to feed the baby.

Sure he would. He wouldn't just let her cry. He actually cares about Zoey, but he doesn't want anyone to know he's gone soft for her. So he'll do things for her as long as nobody sees.
