History:
With the two eldest siblings gone, her family wasn't exactly the richest family of Fives, but more on the stable side. The money Kennedy gets from the singing and playing music is usually used for new art equipment, new dancing shoes and things that would get them more work. Or so her mother says.
In reality, the money goes to her good-for-nothing older brother, Montgomery, her mothers gift from heaven. He, her mother claims, is the one who will rescue the family from staying as fives for their rest of their lifes. Even if the only time they see Montgomery is when he's in need...of anything.
Despite being the only child who worked- since her sister moved away with her new husband, her mother expected much more from her. That, Kennedy thinks, is what made her so different from the girls her mother can't help but to compare her with all the time.
Because unlike the countless other girls she knew, Kennedy didn't daydream of fancy parties and gowns to show off to half the world. Nor did she ever dream of what a life with the Prince of Illea would be....well, at least not all the time. So getting into the Selection wasn't something she'd actually thought of doing. Wouldn't have done it either, had it not been for her mother promising she'd be taking less of the money she earns if she at least tried.
The day she was taking the picture for the selection, her mother had held her end of the deal, making her a lot more happy and smiley than she put to have been. That, she knew, was the moment she got into the huge mess known as the Selection. But by then, it was already too late.

Selene is 5'9 and has perfectly curled, honey-golden-blonde sausage curls that fall to her waist and perfect creamy white skin. However, her eyes are icy blue and lack the expected warmth. Onstage, she hides her muscles, but when she's training, it's quite obvious she's got some, and she's proud of them.

Onstage, she wears big poofy pink flouncy dresses to connect with her audience better, but when she's with the rebels, she wears lots and lots of black. Oh, and pants. No skirts for her. In fact, she hates them, along with the color pink.



Selene tends to do a nearly 180 in terms of personality. When she's on-stage, she's always bouncing around, ready to lend a helping hand to her fans. She's cheerful and is never seen without a smile; she has good positive vibes and is very perky and happy. Her audience of fellow Twos look up to her for fashion advice and gossip. She's also got a bad temper on her that nobody is safe from.

However, her real personality is shown to her fellow rebels. She's cold, unconcerned, serious, and calculating. She rarely smiles or speaks and is very critical. Selene takes her job very seriously and has little impatience for failures. She's annoyed by Twos the most and hopes they'll be the first to fall when she gets rid of the castes. However, she has a sense of honor and doesn't randomly assault Selected, even if she dislikes them, and is always donating to charities for Eights.



Selene Catrina Olsen was born to an actor and an actress, making her a Two. She was expected to stay within that caste and take up a similar job; her parents didn't really care if she wanted something else. Once it was discovered she was an amazing singer, her fate was sealed. That's not to say her parents weren't supportive, because they were, and from an early age acted as both her managers and cheerleaders. Selene didn't have much of an opinion on her job at first, it was what she had to do. Her stage name was Bubblegum Queen since she was only six when she came up with it, not to mention it matched her favorite color at the time; pink.

Soon her entire persona became that idea, a partying pink marshmallow who was a Two's best friend. She was a fashion icon and the latest topic of gossip due to how much she partied, and as she got older, she started to grow more bitter towards the whole thing.

She saw how the Caste system made people suffer, and didn't think it was fair that only a small amount of people could enjoy her performances. She saw Sixes and Sevens and even Eights slaving away at her fans' expense and didn't think it was fair. She knew people would only be truly happy if the whole caste system was abolished. When she heard some words being tossed around about the Northern rebels looking for new members, Selene saw her chance to overthrow the caste system, and figured she'd be a good fit since she could overthrow it from the inside. Her rebel side is kept hidden from everyone including her parents, and while her fellow rebels are aware of her activities during the day, she's careful to keep most parts of that hidden, as she now feels that's the 'fake' her.

During the day, she's a partying pink marshmallow, and at night, she's planning a revolution.
