We finally learn the extended details of Gabe's life. Were you surprised to learn of how Angelina died? What do you think of Gabe's decision to end her torture?

[Anita]

No. I figured that the group had something to do with her death because of the op in the previous book. Tough call on ending her torture and her life. He loved her and killed her because he loved her.

[Robin]

He was in a situation no one ever wants to be in. He either had to watch her be tortured or end it himself. How does a person get over that?

[Quynh]

It was a very tough decision he had to make. There's no way to win in that situation.

[Jonetta]

It was horrific but I think what he did was humane. That story was a bit worse than I'd imagined and, frankly, I didn't see that coming.

[Quynh]

This revelation was the biggest surprise for me in the book.

[Charlene]

It surely explained a lot of Gabe's baggage, which is horrific to ponder. Even though he killed her because he loved her, I imagine the nightmares would continue for years.

[Lauren]

I really felt bad for Gabe here but he didn’t have a choice. He couldn’t continue to allow Angelina to suffer when it was in his power to stop it.
