No. I figured that the group had something to do with her death because of the op in the previous book. Tough call on ending her torture and her life. He loved her and killed her because he loved her.
He was in a situation no one ever wants to be in. He either had to watch her be tortured or end it himself. How does a person get over that?
It was horrific but I think what he did was humane. That story was a bit worse than I'd imagined and, frankly, I didn't see that coming.
It surely explained a lot of Gabe's baggage, which is horrific to ponder. Even though he killed her because he loved her, I imagine the nightmares would continue for years.
