I wasn't suspicious. I thought it was a really good way for her to get back in the game. I also didn't think the attack was aimed at her.
I was just a teeny bit suspicious as everything happened when she showed up. But, I talked myself out of it.
I kept wondering why Maxim asked for her specifically. How would he even know anything about her work as a journalist? It was suspicious to me.
She was a world renowned journalist with a superior reputation, I didn't suspect a thing until they encountered baddies in her hotel room.
I was not suspicious when she was singled out; oh, I had a tiny qualm, but nothing that wasn't brushed aside.Of course I knew she would walk into trouble sometime early in the book.
Robin wrote: "I kept wondering why Maxim asked for her specifically. How would he even know anything about her work as a journalist? So then I started thinking maybe there was another third party behind it, which was confirmed when she and Gabe were attacked at her hotel room. Though I still didn't know exactly who it was.
