Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Lol, okay this is the last thing I need in my life - - another compelling book list to steer my reading. I share it nonetheless.

EDITED: Apparently this page doesn't work well at all. But Goodreads has a list too. Here it is:

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Kind of a weird conglomeration of books . . .I've read 64 of them and have quite a number of others on my TBR. For those reading with us this month, Angela's Ashes made the list.

message 3: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12916 comments I've read around 30 myself...

message 4: by Joi (new)

Joi (missjoious) | 3970 comments I've only read around 20ish. There's a lot more kids and young adult listed than I expected.

Well now I know I've had two of your lifetimes to reach my 64 books, lol!

message 6: by Susie (new)

Susie I've only read 22. Gone Girl is on the list?!

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Susie wrote: "I've only read 22. Gone Girl is on the list?!"

Lol, yes! I chuckled.

message 8: by Flo (new)

Flo (daredeviling) | 225 comments I've read 26. Not...awful at least. XD

message 9: by Book Concierge (new)

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 8414 comments I only got 90 books .... but I've read 49 of them.

message 10: by Ladyslott (new)

Ladyslott | 1880 comments 38/100

Odd mixture of books.

message 11: by Anita (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments It really is a strange selection! I am surprised I have read so many of them . . .I must be influenced by these editors on some level!

message 12: by Anita (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments You only got 90, BC? Odd!

message 13: by Denizen (new)

Denizen (den13) | 1138 comments Anita wrote: "You only got 90, BC? Odd!"

I only got 90, too, so 53/90

message 14: by Cora (new)

Cora (corareading) | 1921 comments I got 37 (thanks in large part to the children's books).

message 15: by LibraryCin (last edited Feb 23, 2017 06:00PM) (new)

LibraryCin | 11684 comments I've read 32 and have a couple more on the tbr.

ETA: After I read the other comments, I went back to count how many books showed up for me in the list and I only counted 75, so that is 32/75 books. Not sure what happened to the other 25!

message 16: by Jenni Elyse (new)

Jenni Elyse (jenni_elyse) I've read 19 of them. I'm surprised by that number.

message 17: by Book Concierge (last edited Feb 24, 2017 03:11PM) (new)

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 8414 comments Okay ... opened the link at home and there are 100 ... and I've read a total of 54 of them.

Seems that on my work computer ("smaller" screen) only 6 titles per row showed .... Here at home ("larger rectangle" format screen) ten of the rows had 7 titles, accounting for the missing 10 titles. S*I*G*H

Karin | 9218 comments Anita wrote: "Kind of a weird conglomeration of books . . ."

But of course, given the variety of types of readers we have on GR :)

message 19: by Ladyslott (new)

Ladyslott | 1880 comments 38/100, I have several on my TBR

message 20: by Barbara M (last edited Feb 24, 2017 05:09PM) (new)

Barbara M (barbara-m) | 2594 comments I found 100 books listed. As BC pointed out, there are not the same number of books per line, some are 6 and some are 7 in the line. I've read only 32.

Hmmm, and I only saw 5 titles/row, which I guess explains why I only saw 75 books, in total.

But, I didn't think my PC monitor at home was particularly small. It's not particularly large, either, but... :-( You'd think they could design their site, so it adjusts to whatever size monitor someone is looking from?

message 22: by LibraryCin (new)

LibraryCin | 11684 comments And if I could comment on that page, I would!

message 23: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 1532 comments Very odd.... I saw 15 rows of 4 books..... on my iPad. I've read 25 of the 60 that I saw. I tried various ways to change display but nothing worked.

message 24: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) This is quite odd. I have no idea why you only see a number of books depending on the dimensions of your screen. Personally, I see 90 books, and I have a 15" laptop.
I've read 22 of them, not many.

message 25: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tstan) | 1261 comments I only see 60 on my iPad.

message 26: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 1532 comments OK -- on my laptop screen I get 90 books (15 X 6). I've read 37.

This is very bad design. It is actually cutting off the books in the rows.

message 27: by Jgrace (new)

Jgrace | 3939 comments I had to decrease the font of my laptop screen to 80% to see all of the titles, which of course meant that it was too small for my aging eyes to see.

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Jgrace wrote: "I had to decrease the font of my laptop screen to 80% to see all of the titles, which of course meant that it was too small for my aging eyes to see."

I am really shocked that Amazon didn't do a better job of design. They employ like a zillion IT people. Very strange. I wonder if there's a way I can export just the titles to post them here. Or maybe someone already retyped them into a Goodreads list. I will look!!

message 29: by Anita (last edited Feb 25, 2017 08:44AM) (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Of course, someone already copied it over. In October, so I guess this isn't new - - I just received a promotion about it now though.

https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...

Here you can see ALL 100 books regardless of your screen. She says with false confident.

Whatever Amazon has done, it's a terrible design for it to cut off books, depending on the size of one's screen.

LibraryCin | 11684 comments Anita wrote: "https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1......"

Thanks for that, Anita!

message 32: by LibraryCin (new)

LibraryCin | 11684 comments Ok, now that I can see them all, it looks like I've read 37/100.

It also shows me some that didn't come over to GR with my export/import. Maybe I'll spend a bit of time updating that today...

message 33: by Karin (new)

Karin | 9218 comments I've read 37 for sure, one or more maybe. Some I've started and rejected, some I will never ever try to read because I don't like other books by the author.

Both pages worked fine for me both here and at home, but I am not using a tablet or a smart phone.

message 34: by Susie (new)

Susie Now that I can see the full list, I have read 34.

message 35: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 1532 comments OK -- made my browser smaller. I've read 41...but have at least started 3 more on the list.

message 36: by Blueberry (new)

Blueberry (blueberry1) I read 34. 11 of them are already on my TBR list. 2 of them I quit. I was surprised at some of them.

Thanks at the link Anita.

message 37: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1002 comments I am only at 23. I will need to work on this.
