It would be way different I think. Seeing as I think I remember Maxon saying at one point along the lines of: 'You don't use me for my status and you freely speak your mind with me' something to that extent. Where the others held back and most of them were using him anyways. They didn't love him they just wanted the crown. But if America wasn't in The Selection at all I think either Mariel or Celeste would of won. Because the people liked Mariel before she fell in love with Connor and it IS possible that she wouldn't of meet him had things been different. Or Celeste would of won because of her own Status and who she was to the public.
I believe Kris would have won: she was the closest to Maxon and she was the only one who was really truly in love with him. I think he would have learned to love her if he didn't already (due to America's absence).
I agree with you Shreya, I think he would have picked Kris as well, but who knows?

I know America was our protagonist, but what if she was never in the selection in the first place. Who do you think would win? Would the whole series be different. I know my opinion but I want to hear yours.
