Is that our old Navigating Indieworld Facebook page?- It's not coming up like a regular Facebook page for me- I didn't break it, right?

Alexis | 861 comments What do you think of this idea:
To enter the Amazon giftcard giveaway, people need to submit their receipt on navigatingindieworld.com. One purchase means one lottery ticket, two books means two entries in the raffle, 3 books means 3 entries etc etc.

That is a very cool idea. Just a thought...If you do go that route, you may want to allow the first entry to be free just for visiting or subscribing to the site to help draw in more people. But I like the idea of increasing chances to win by purchasing books. Might be a lot of work to keep track of though.

Julie used to do something like that on Facebook. They would come back and show the receipt- but also share and it brought more users.
We should have a kickoff party-I am going to write Joooles!

It is a group page that I created. Anyone can join and post, not just moderators :)

Okay, so I would offer a giveaway and to enter, they would post a screenshot with the order number. Or if they downloaded using kindle unlimited, they would post a screenshot of the book in their library. They can enter as many times as they would like, but must post a different screentshot with each entry.
We climb the rankings when we do this!

Thanks Julie!

I've seen more authors do it. For example Kresley Cole. https://www.facebook.com/KresleyCole/...

She asked her reeaders to email their receipts and asked for a week to choose the winner. A week should be enough time to process the receipts.

FYI for the new group page -NOT our Navigating Indieworld page- the one marked Facebook Group

Just want to warn you that when you add people, it does not give them a choice in the matter. They are added if you add them. Some people HATE this, so you may want to get permission before you add anyone.

Christine (christineroney) | 261 comments Alexis, everything looks great!

I really like that you defined the genres.

One thing to tweak, though - the twitter link on my author page is for mobile and doesn't come up right on my laptop.

Thank you for doing this!

message 126: by Alexis (last edited Feb 24, 2017 06:21PM) (new)

Alexis | 861 comments Ok, I'll fix it in a minute Christine. Itruly hope that not everyone's twitter links are mobile. *groans*

Before you leave- check out Forbes again. They asked for all our friends to promote the articles.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/robinsea...

I wanted to wait to post it- they are adding Julie's picture and some more information- but I didn't want to miss you. You have the best gifs!!!!
