Okay- I went on, sometimes I find a button to join. I didn't see one- so I send a message. Is that how we join the site?

No, I have to give you access. Brit and Julie have access. I can do it when I get home. Everyon can leave comments though.

Also, can I add one more book since we can have two? It's a Romantic/Suspense--Thanks!

Go to the other thread titled "Book of the Year List". There is a brief description at the top. That is where you can list you book information for the event. This thread was created to discuss the event and keep entries from being lost in discussions.

Alexis is getting the site up and running right now so you haven't missed it yet. We need more authors. :)

Oh, ok. I went to the other thread and just realized that I already posted there yesterday. Oh, I got confused and thought this was some other event. I guess they haven't gotten around to me on the list yet. :)

Good. Nice to meet you too. You're welcome Angel, can you tell me under which genres you want me to feature your book? I can't add it all those you listed, I'm afraid lol. I will add them to your blurb though!

I was hoping you wouldn't mind lol.

Sure, but can you please add them in the other thread + their links? Thnak you!

Us erotic romance authors have a hard life man. Lol.

Hi, Alexis! I got your message on the other thread and have narrowed my genres down to the top 3 for you on the book event list.

Oh I didn't see that, sorry. Your book has been added! :)

I agree with Alex on that. I certainly don't want to disappoint readers thinking they got an Alexis book:) I write clean romantic/suspense...

Hehe.
Clean Romance is the first romance category so you ladies are lucky!

Anyone want to think of an eyecatching, funny, paragraph to add under "WELCOME TO OUR FIRST INDIE BOOKS EVENT OF THE YEAR!"?
My English is not too good today.

Great, thanks!

How about "Enjoy the zany enigma of Indieworld."

I also noticed that some people have their bio and twitter/fb handles listed. Should I supply those as well?

Hey Lyra, yes I added them after seeing your post in the other thread. Yes, you can add whatever you want. I won't be adding the Facebook pages until tomorow though because I'm trying to get cute clip arts for the links but my ipad is not cooperating.

Lol. I was going to forbid you from reading my book, Carole. But you read Amy's so mine won't be too out of the norm. Lol.

You can check it out in the sidebar on the site under "WELCOME"

You're very welcome!

Groovy, if you have time, I'd love an interesting article on anything writing related. It doesn't have to be long. There's no deadline either so you can take your time.

Children take an imaginary trip to Mexico on Pete the Pilot's magic airplane. In Mexico they meet Panchito, Mexico's favorite jumping bean, follow his adventures, learn Spanish and absorb the culture. Activities include treasure hunt, skit, Culture Corner, catchy song and craft.

Please consider the fact that some of us would love to help out but might be newbies at promotion. While I'll be willing to contribute when funds needed are determined, it's the other things I'm not sure about. If anyone has time to spell it out, please let me know exactly what I can do to help with this promotion.
Not a problem- CC- that's why we have the back space button- to erase the boo boos- We are going to need blog posts- so writing something up about writing- maybe even about your day job and what happens when you come home and switch jobs- anything that would be interesting. We will need stuff to keep the blog current and what other writers will want to read.
Am I right guys?

Question: When is the deadline for authors to sign up and have their books listed? Thank-you!

We will soon! We will probably stop accepting submissions 7 days before the event? What do you all think?
In other news, ERIN has been helping out with the site and added a pretty cool submission tool in the sidebar.
In other cool news, the Author Directory is UP, with working links for everyone. Check your page out and let me know if everything links to where they're supposed to link. P.S. The book titles are clickable too. (Is clickable even a word? Lol.)

We're almost there. :D

Can I change the header on the page? Sorry, you shouldn't have given me administrator powers if you wanted me to keep my hands to myself. :p
