Simon groggily stepped out of his room. "You need to brush your hair," he said to Taylor.

Marissa climbed up the stairs.

"You should, too," Taylor replied, looking at Simon's head.

((I thought about saying that exact thing!!))

"And so should Marissa," Daniel said, looking at his sister.

"And you smell funny, Daniel," Taylor pointed out. She went to the bathroom. When she came out in about 10 seconds flat, she looked 20% cooler.

Daniel went back into his room.

"You can have the bathroom. I need to get dressed," Taylor said to Marissa. Simon reentered his room, probably to get dressed as well.

Taylor started to get dressed, pulling on her gear.

Marissa exited the bathroom and went into her room.

Taylor threw her hair up in a ponytail, then went to check on Marissa. "Need anything?" she asked after knocking on the door.

"No," Marissa said, opening the door.

"Let's go," Taylor smiled, holding out her elbow so Marissa could hook hers through.

Marissa did so, and they walked to the training room.

Taylor looked at the piece of paper her father had taped up to the door. "Calisthenics. Fun," she sighed.

Taylor looked to Marissa. "Good job. I noticed you had some difficulty with archery. Wan to try and work on that again?"

Marissa shrugged. "Maybe sometime later. Not right now."

"Okay. I'm gonna go get cleaned up," Taylor said.

Taylor ran off in the direction of her room.

Marissa walked to her room.

Daniel and Marissa walked into the room, arguing.

Taylor sat in one of the chairs, her complete attention on the argument.

"It wasn't funny!" Marissa said angrily. "You can't tease!"

"But I did so I obviously can." Daniel retorted.

"Daniel!"

"What? I was just playing around, Mari."

"Don't call me that!"

"Anything I can do to help?" Taylor piped in.
"Take Jace's place as my instructor," Ben suggested.
Taylor stuck her tongue out at Ben. Jace, however, happened to walk in at that moment. "Ben, I am appalled by your ungrateful behavior! Maybe I'll just increase the knife-throwing practice tomorrow."
Taylor wrinkled her nose at the last part.
"It's just an excuse to show off, Jace. Why do you emphasize it so much?" Clary sighed.

Marissa stopped talking, but continued to glare at Daniel.

Taylor raised an eyebrow. "What happened?"

"Nothing," Marissa said, her cheeks flushing.

Daniel chuckled, earning a glare from Marissa.

"Pleeeaaaase?" Taylor whined.

"It's nothing!" Marissa said, getting up and walking out.

Tiylor bit her lip. "What did I do this time?"

Taylor laughed, an uncommon reaction for when she was being teased.
Ben examined Daniel. "I'm starting to like you."
"Because he needed your approval," Taylor joked.
"Ha-ha. Very funny," Ben snapped.
"Food?" Simon asked hopefully when he walked in.

Ryan nodded. "I made hot dogs."

"But I was going to make hot dogs!" Taylor protested.

"But your food tastes like you throw up in it," Ryan said.

"Better than yours," the adults chorused. On that note, Taylor went off to see what she'd done to upset Marissa.

Marissa had locked herself in her room.

Taylor knocked on the door. "Marissa? "

"Go away," Marissa said.

Marissa opened the door a little. "It was nothing, Daniel was just teasing me, its fine, you can go back and eat."
