Hayley moved onto the next door and knocked again.

No one answered this door, either.
((No way would 4 adults abandon a bunch of children, especially with a psychopath as their only company!))
"Ryan! You know how to knock, too. This would go faster if you helped," Hayley hissed.

Simon nodded. "What exactly is the problem, then?"

"Taylor is being held at sword-point," Hayley explained quickly.Simon's eyes widened. "Better get Jace, then. Jace! Clary!" He yelled. ((you be Jace!))

Jace and Clary walked around the corner.
((naw. you be Clary))"Taylor is awake. She's being held semi-captive by Aria downstairs, but she's awake," Simon said. Jace's nostrils flared. "Well then, we'll just have to fix that," he threatened, making his way to the stairway and down the stairs.

Clary and Ryan followed.
Jace drew out a sword of his own when Aria came into view. "Let her go."

"You see, that's not going to work. There are at least three of us with weapons, and only one of you," Jace pointed out.

Taylor strained against Aria's grip, but the older woman was too strong. It also didn't help that there was a sharp object being held against her. Jace sheathed his sword with hands shaking from anger. "Fine. Leave."

Taylor kicked Aria in the shin, trying even harder to get away.

Taylor winced as the second cut was made, but seeing how much it angered Aria, she lashed out at her with her foot once more.

"No," Marissa said. She swallowed nervously.

"Ah," Aria said, unaffected. "But you don't hate her."
Taylor was beginning to feel lightheaded from the pressure on her airway.

Aria stared at her daughter. "What?"
Jace looked wide-eyed at Marissa. "What ?" Simon looked to Taylor, gaging her understanding. However, she was just as confused as he was. ((CLARY. REMEMBER THE CLARY!))

Aria continued to stare at Marissa.
Simon caught movement in his peripheral vision - a flash of red hair. Not wanting to reveal what he'd seen, he decided to create a distraction. "Anyone care to explain what's happening? In English?"

Ryan snuck up behind Aria and tried to knock her out. Key word:Tried. Aria dropped Taylor and spun around and grabbed Ryan instead.
Taylor nearly fell to the floor, but Simon managed to catch her before she did. Taylor was gasping for air. She opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off. "Let him go," Amber ordered from the front of the room. Her hair wasn't brushed and she looked like she'd just gotten out of bed. Amber had heard the commotion downstairs and, once she realized what was happening, grabbed a bow and an arrow from the weapons room.

"Or I'll shoot you," Amber warned. "And I'll let her," Jace said.

"Ryan, watch out," Amber said. She let loose the arrow she was holding, and it went straight into Aria's upper arm. The arm was forced back from the impact, allowing Ryan to escape.

Taylor ran to her brother, ignoring the current pain in her neck and lower abdomen. "Are you okay? Ryan, are you all right?"

"Fine," Taylor lied. "You don't look like it," Amber said. "Who're you?" Taylor frowned.
