"It was right after I had pranked Taylor last week. He said, 'You shouldn't have done that. It wasn't even that noticeable. You need to do something like, I don't know, fire message a random person with a urgent message. Scare the crap out of them.' Except, he didn't say 'crap'," Ryan said, recounting Simon's words as well as he could.

"That's debatable..." Jace muttered.
Clary glared at Jace and Simon. "Jonathan Christopher, I am not in the mood for petty arguments! Would either of you like to call in witnesses?"

Taylor stepped closer to the group. "Simon high-fived Ryan and told him something like 'Don't do stuff like that in the future. It makes you mom angry.' Then -"
"Then, Ryan said, 'Would you rather I did something bigger?'. Dad said, 'If you don't mind getting your butt whipped!'" Ben interrupted.
"He didn't say 'butt'. He said -"
"I'd rather not hear it, Taylor. Butt will suffice," Clary said.

"Simon, apologize to Ryan for misguiding him. And to me for the headache. Ryan, apologize to Simon, Taylor, and Ben for the dirty looks, your father for having to drag you downstairs, Cara for taking her way out of the way, and to me for making me want to strangle you," Clary said.
Simon stuck his tongue out at Ryan, earning a swift kick from Clary.

"I'm sorry I misguided you, Ryan. And I'm sorry I gave you a headache, Clary," Simon.
"I got a headache, too. Do I get an apology?" Jace asked.
Clary gave him a don't-push-it look.
Cara watched them all. "Well, this was interesting. I'm leaving now. Goodbye." She winked at Ryan on her way out.

((Okay. Can I make a girl parabati and a boy who are twins? Then they can come to the Institute together and it saves me trouble.))
"And you," Ryan turned to glare at Ben. "I almost got away with it!"
"And you," Ryan turned to glare at Ben. "I almost got away with it!"

"I blame the dog," Ben said.
"He was trying to place the blame on something else," Ryan said, rolling his eyes. "Which won't work."
((Haha yes!))
Marrissa and Daniel stood on the doorstep of the New York institute.
"You do it," Daniel said.
"You just don't want to move again! I'm horrible with people. You do it," Marisa retorted.
"Come on Mari," Daniel said. "I did it last time."

"You did it last time? I clearly remember standing on the doorstep stuttering while you stood there pouting!" Marissa said.
"I did not!"
"Uh, yeah, you did!"
