Our first true thriller! Your pick for February/March looks to be pulse-pounding and thought-provoking. We'd like to get started by sharing any articles or reviews you've come across to set the stage for our newest read.

Looks like we're in for 450 pages of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, 80's nostalgic goodness and dementia. :0)

Wow, Ana! That's fantastic. Good news for those who are just getting started. Stick around for discussion!

Raeann | 21 comments When posting comments is the assumption that everyone reading comments has read the book so recalling specific parts of the book is ok? Not spoiling anything? I haven't finished the Unseen World but my comment would give away what is happening "now".
Does that make sense? I don't want to spoil it for another but to avoid that I think I would just use vague general statement. (Not thoughtful).

Raeann | 21 comments This is my first book by Liz Moore. Her writing is fantastic!
I kept feeling this theme reoccurring but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then she said goodbye to David for the first time and two pages later I realized what it was. Throughout the first part of the book she mentioned a few times things that she thought but couldn't tell David. Then two pages after saying goodbye to David she noticed not having the right color jeans and wanting her ears pierced. She seemed stuck in this place of wanting but not wanting to disappoint. Which is quite the burden for a young girl. Then it continued throughout the story. Fear of disappointing, of being embarrassed or embarrassing. It seems like it evolved from not wanting to... to a fear of.... and I think that is pretty common for a lot of people. There is so much we concern ourselves with, pressures from work, family, friends, selves.... Liz Moore really captured this.
What I think I realized most from this story is the power of communication. How talking with others (Liston, Gregory) and not talking with others (William, David), was productive or hurtful depending how it was or wasn't done. She seem like she was able to mend broken relationships through opening herself up.

I wonder how Ada's life, or our lives, would be different if we expressed ourselves more or differently.

Hey Raeann! I think the best way to do it would be to indicate if spoilers are possible (ex: **spoiler alert**)

Thanks for reading with us!
