Ted Rohe There is no official LOST connection to this book. Although it is a coincidence that "Umberto Eco" is similar to Mr. Echo. That is all it is.

However, the book has a similar concidential connection to the show by an old ship connected to a Island with a man who wakes up in the ship and does not know how he got there. Also he is unable to get to the Island and the book is based on his "Written Logs."

There is a Pendulum in Umberto Echo's book prior to this one, aptly titled, Foucault's Pendulum. there was a pendulum like Umberto's used in Lost - game over. The Lost writers read it. Good taste fellas.
