Bobby Karmakar LOVED THEM! In fact I was reading Twilight while reading Lord of the Flies during a high school English class. I know how everyone feels about the sparkly vampires but this is very different from Lord of the Flies and I love them both. Also, unrelated to Lord of the Flies, Twilight introduced me to other vampire novelists like Anne Rice and Charlaine Harris, as well as Kelley Armstrong.

Wendy.. Really ?? But could you tell me more about Lord of the Flies ?? Averyone is talking about and I haven't read it yet !!
And I love twilight as well , I think it's amazing since it was my first book to read ! It was amazing and I've read it so many time and I can't seem to let it go !!

I read Lord of the Flies in gr.11 English and I believe it involved about a dozen (?) or so boys who survive from a plane crash on which they are survivors on a lone island. The main theme is about civilization and how they survive. Though they are children, it gets messy, and dirty, gruesome and really nasty! I liked reading it. Again, very different from Twilight but I highly recommend it :)

Scott Why is this under The Lord of the Flies?

Wendy.. I kinda put by mistake .. Ssoorryy !!
What do u think about Twilight ???

Bobby Karmakar Really loved Twilight! I felt so accomplished reading it because it was so thick and though people have their opinions, mine will always be the fact that I loved reading it when I was 16! New Moon too was great. I read Eclipse the fastest and is probably the best book (I say it's my favourite but gah I want to read Twilight again now!). Breaking Dawn was the worst. I didn't like it. Aside from the fact that it was spoiled to me, I still didn't find it that great. The movies however, the books I loved but not the film. The Breaking Dawn movies were however my favourite! But I don't like the book lol.

Wendy.. I've read new moon and twilight only but I'm eager to start with eclipse !! I'm soooooo excited ! And for the movies I loved them all !!!

The few pages I read when I worked in a book store were absolutely awful. Meyer is a terrible writer.

Wendy.. Ooooooooo!! I think you should take the book again and read it carefully and you'll see what we are talking about !!

Raptori Twilight is atrocious. On the bright side, it brought us this gem of a website:

Matthew Williams Ummm, hello! The sign says Lord of the Flies. Why are we talking about that insipid, YA, teenage girl wish-fulfillment, rescue-fantasy-crap-that-set-the-women's movement-back-fifty-years franchise? There is a Twilight forum, you know. Just go post this discussion there.

Scott Well, I did see flies swarming around a copy of Twilight once...

Monty J Heying Wendy.. wrote: "What do you think about Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series ???"

Why don't you restart this thread under the right place? It's going to confuse a lot of people.

Monty J Heying Wendy.. wrote: "And I love twilight as well , I think it's amazing since it was my first book to read ! It was amazing and I've read it so many time and I can't seem to let it go !! "

Then delete this thread and take your discussion where it belongs--under Twilight.

Wendy.. Ok .. Could u be a gentlemen and tell me HOW ???
I'm Kinda new here !!!

1) Put "Twiight" in the search box (scroll to the top, it's a small outlined box containing the words, "Title/Author/ISBN" in greyed-out letering). Then hit "enter" and the system will produce a listing of books with "Twilight" in the title.
2) Click on the one you are looking for to discuss. you will be taken to a screen with just that book and reviews and discussions about it.
3) Scroll to the bottom of that page and click on a discussion. (It will take a long time to load this page because some idiot posted a lot of hair-brained images that consume computer resources.)
4) When that discussion appears, at the top, far right-hand side, will appear the words "|Post a New Topic. Click on that and you will get a screen allowing you to create the topic.

Good luck.

Wendy.. Thank you very much !!!!
And ssoorryy again ..

Even though I didn't even come close to attempting to read Twilight...this site is so entertaining. Why didn't I know about this until now? Thanks for posting the link!

Laura Herzlos Could you please remove this thread from under this book? I have no clue how to delete a thread, but perhaps someone else could point Wendy in the right direction? Please? I respect your literary taste, but I would prefer not to discuss the Twilight series under the books that I check. Thanks in advance!

Geoffrey The movie. Yawn. ZZZZZZ. Can I get my ticket refunded. She's cute but can she act? Does this movie go anywhere. Vampire movies really suck big time, starting with Sarandon and Bowie.
