T H E R E ' S something exhilarating yet terrifying about being able to hover almost twenty metres ( ~ 65 feet for all you imperialists ) in the air, and something incredibly irritating about being watched by a bunch of scientists as you struggle to stabilise yourself. Particularly when Jiyeon has already explained at length that she'll balance better if they follow the instructions she wrote out ( although now she thinks about it, they probably lost them ).

Y E A H, she may not be the most tolerant of people. She may be slightly salty about the fact that she's not allowed to help with the science despite the fact that she's brilliant at science. She may also think that being able to fly means she ought to be allowed to say whatever she likes. But you wouldn't guess it if it was your first time meeting her.

W H E N your parents were murdered by a bunch of scientists the day you accidentally levitated yourself onto the roof, you try being nice to said scientists. Sure, what they're doing is interesting, but there are better ways to go about it — namely, not murdering your targets' parents: they will not appreciate it. And Jiyeon being Jiyeon, she's already written a list of things they seriously need to improve on — and she's still adding to it, because the longer she stays here the more she realises just how dodgy this setup is. Like seriously, guys, kidnapping is not the best way to go about getting the kids. And they could try to help them control their powers, maybe?

Ryan was bullied from 1st grade to 4th grade, by many different people. Eventually, he mustered up the courage to stand up to the bullies at the end of 4th grade. He started kung fu training, so that he would be able to fight back. At the beginning of 5th grade, he used all of his kung fu skills to beat the bullies up so they would never bother him again. They didn't. Except, for his twin sister Janet, who continues to bully him.
This was what made him fierce.
When Ryan was being bullied, one of his secrets was let out, that he like Jenny, a girl in his class. He was teased a lot after that, by every student he saw, even ones he didn't know. It turns out, his best friend Tyler had traded that information with someone for information about his crush. He was betrayed by his best friend. He never spoke to Tyler again, he refused to. Even for classwork, he would ask another student to forward his messages.
This is what made him value loyalty and be loyal.

Looks can be deceiving when dealing with Janet Miller, but the fact she's brutal and cold is just the tip of the iceberg. To make matters worse she's also crude, pretentious and malicious. There's a great deal of pain left on all sides because of this and her deviousness, which is a true shame for both sides.
Fair is fair though, Janet isn't completely rotten. She will help you if you're really in need, so there is still some hope yet.
She's very insecure, so she bullied Ryan constantly to make herself feel powerful, like she was unstoppable. She hid it from her parents very well of course, they never noticed her doing anything bad. They thought Ryan and her had a great relationship and that they never argued and could share their greatest secrets with each other. This was clearly not the case. Whenever Janet was around, Ryan wouldn't be safe. When they got taken away to be experimented on however, everything changed. Ryan had friends who could actually protect him, strong friends with powers. Also, they didn't sleep in rooms next door to each other, they slept in very separate dorms, where others would notice if she snuck in.

D O N ' T feed him sugar. That's about the only thing the scientists have managed to observe — that, and the fact that he almost exclusively uses his power to give people electric shocks or charge laptop batteries. They're debating whether or not he's an actual joke, because that's seemingly the only thing he's capable of being. Trying to make him cooperate is like trying to train a wild monkey ( in other words, really bloody hard ).

On the bright side, it's fairly easy to convince him by providing him with food, particularly sugary things ( although wild sesame leaves is also a good incentive ). So despite his irrational behaviour, the scientists can actually study him without too much difficulty.

M I N K Y U ' S parents sent him here. They didn't even question why the scientists wanted to take him — as far as they were concerned they'd just won the lottery ( it was a fair bit of money ), with the added bonus of not having to look after a child. That might sound bad ( it does sound bad ), but honestly?
Minkyu is probably better off away from his parents. They were terrible at looking after kids ( and never wanted any ).

Andres is basically a nerdy kid in a LEGO store. Considering that his first job was working as a programmer for a corporation that couldn't care less about their employees, it's understandable that he might be willing to overlook the less humane elements of the experiments in favour of keeping his job. There's also an element of belief that he's doing the right thing by finding out more about the powered children to help them. Even though some of them are only five years younger than him.

Andres comes from a family that don't hold much stock in science. So naturally, when he decided to get a double degree in biology and computer engineering, they were less than impressed. And despite the fact that it was what he loved, the enjoyment was lessened by his family's refusal to contact him. His first job was loathsome, to put it simply, working for a company that neither valued nor cared about him. When he was offered a job here, Andres didn't have much of a decision to make: stay at a job he couldn't stand, working for low pay; or work as a scientist in a place that was basically a dream come true.

Zara is smart and creative. She loves listening to music, and she has a talent for playing instruments. She is imaginative and experimental and loves unicorns, cotton candy, rainbows and bubbles. She uses sarcasm to prove her point, which comes in handy when she's in an argument or debate, especially with an enemy or a frenemy. She isn't very good at close or far range combating but is great with communication and creating communication devices, and experimenting with technology. She is obsessed with some tv shows and books. She hates her powers of teleportation because they make her strange and different from everyone else, and people think that she can cheat with them. People don't really listen to her.

She grew up in a big city. When she was younger, she was just another blonde girl. She really didn't like school, and even tried to skip school a couple of times. When she was thirteen, she teleported from the classroom to her home, and the teacher reported her to her parents. Her parents didn't want to split with her, and the night after, her parents died in a car crash when coming home from work. The day after, the scientists brought her to the laboratory, and she's lived there ever since. She felt lost after her parents died and resorted to being rebellious and mean, keeping her true feelings and emotional instability under a bubble. At the laboratory, she met a boy who she really liked, and they started dating secretly since they both felt that it would threaten their social statuses.

       Lazy Potato is a nickname Andrew is often given, and one he accepts if only for the truth behind it. He hardly ever performs any task if it does not directly benefit him, and even if it does, he hardly spares any energy to do that either. He tends to use his family's power over the facility to get people to do things for him, and although it doesn't necessarily make him friends, it allows him to be less active, and in Andrew's mind, that can only be a good thing. Underneath all that he truly is kind and very smart, but he tends not to show it. After all, the basic foundation of his job isn't the best for an innocent person's morals, so why show kindness when it will only bring him trouble? As for concealing his intelligence, well, in his mind, it's simply too much work if everyone around him knew of his knowledge.

       Andrew was sent to an orphanage as an infant, and while some children try to find their real parents after discovering they were adopted, he couldn't care less. After all, it was a rather lot of work, and plus, if they loved him, they wouldn't have left him there. He spent most of his time ordering around the younger children with empty threats at the horrid place until he was seven, and an extremely wealthy couple came along. they were looking to adopt a child with a horrible past to form a better public image, and when they saw the little boy in the corner with his blue hair, they knew he was the one.

Months passed with Andrew under their care, and he slowly grew accustomed to life in their household. They built up his average intelligence to that of a genius, but even throughout all that, he kept his knowledge hidden. His adoptive parents grew angered that he hadn't shown any signs of having learned anything throughout all their expensive tutoring sessions, and were even more frustrated that he was nearly 23 and hadn't yet done so much as applied for a job. So, as soon as the realization hit them that their lazy child wasn't going to do anything on his own, they paid a rather large sum of money to the test facility to accept their son, and a few weeks later, they'd shipped him off to go work as the new scientist researching the healing subjects.
