Congratulations Alex! That is wonderful news!!!
Hi -My name is Lucia, I just joined.
I did just publish my second book, which was a major goal.
Getting a blog post out on my website once every 3 weeks would be another goal that is not always easy to accomplish...
Hi Lucia! Nice to meet you.
I finished book 4! Sending it off to be reviewed and then time to order my first proof. SO EXCITING! That means I completed most of my goals this week and the ones I didn't, I made good progress with. *Happy dance*

I love those goals, a lot. :D
Erica if you'd like some address of mommy bloggers- email me on cnbbook@gmail.com Brit will send it to you.
I have a ton of homeschooling bloggers, but they will want a paperback. You can pick and choose the ones with the widest reach.
Also send a book to multiculturalkidblogs@gmail.com , tell them I sent you. Offer to do a giveaway. There are a lot of mom's there.

Completed all my goals except growing my email list. It was a pretty good week. Unfortunately, I need to keep my writing goals to a minimum this week due to time I will have to spend taking care of some bad storm damage.
Goals:
1. Collect and organize information for the Spring event.
2. Review proof once it comes in and make any necessary changes.
How did everyone else do?

I did pretty well!I didn't star on the final draft of my book yet but 7/8 goals reached is not bad at all!! :D
This week:
1. Finish list of bloggers to contact for Spring Event
2. Start polishing draft of my book
Keeping the goals low this week because I'll be busy with other things, sadly!
My goals this week:
1. Breath lol
2. Go to bed earlier than 3 am
3. Finish writing first draft of sequel
4. Write 2 original blog posts that have nothing to do with my book

Whoah! I've done 6am before and am a zombie the entire day. Coffee does nothing on those days lol
I know I'm late to the party but I have a goal for this week! I just noticed that my Facebook page has 88 likes so my goal is to get 90 by the end of the week! My one year publishing is coming up on the 30th and the idea is to have 100 likes by then!I also got my first pre-order today and a goal if I can manage it would be five pre-orders and five sales by the end of the week idk if it's possible but it's a goal anyway!
Good luck to everyone in reaching your goals! If there is anyway I can help let me know!
Thanks Alex! I just started my pre-order yesterday and already have one so I count that as a win! My last pre-order it was a month before I had even that so it's progress! I need to update my goals because I have already hit 92 likes and still have two more takeovers to do before the week is up! I'm guessing I should shoot for 100 by Sunday but I'm going to play it safe and say 95! If you all haven't done author takeovers on Facebook or hit up the many promo groups there I would suggest doing so! I have seen an improvement not only in my sales but KU dls and pages read since i started posting in promo groups everyday! I have a list of groups that will let you do promo posts and romance blogs that have a daily pimp post for authors to share their work! If any romance authors here want a copy I would be happy to oblige! Non-romance authors are welcome to my group list but be warned some are romance groups. (I also have a couple of sci fi and Dystopian groups that allow promo posts too, so if you need them just let me know and I would be happy to hand the list over!
I didn't post my goal. I did achieve it though. Write something I'm happy with without sex in it. Done. I suppose another one is put naked people on the cover of the book with sex in it. Also done. (Major thing because it involved biting the bullet and interacting with someone.)
Another thing is run a promo-did a free thing on Smashwords last week. So that's done too.
Next goal finish book 2.
Do blog post re new super power (in case I forget)

Repeating last week goals because real life intruded last week.
In a similar boat Alexis. lol Crazy week ahead with life stuff! Here are my goals though.
1. Finish collecting info for the Spring Event and sent it off to Alexis
2. Promote my Facebook Release Party for book 4!!!
Wishing everyone a productive week!

My weekly goals:Rip apart the Wielder World Short Story
Write more in my epic fantasy story.
Find a cover artist I like.
Good luck to everyone!
My week-and-into-next-week goals:--Get my new cover proofed & uploaded for "What's at the End of Your Nose?" in time for a spring re-launch, come on, Createspace
--Work on promoting an upcoming giveaway/release party for Erica Graham yay!
--Send out my MG short story to more agents/publishers--and maybe re-evaluate if it really is MG or YA...
--Keep an eagle eye on when my nonfiction essay comes out in an academic journal--there's a nebulous end-of-March date attached to it but I am grateful that unless a cataclysm happens, this one at least will be published.
Ok so last week I nearly hit one of my goals I had 3 pre-orders when I wanted 5 that was cool! At the end of the week my Facebook author page had a whopping 113 likes when I was reaching for 95 lol so stoked about that and between actual purchases and KU dls I got a total of probably 6 sales but it's hard to tell when you add in KU cuz they don't tell you that! So this week my goals are different because I have a cover reveal and a new release coming but I also watched a video series from JA Huss yesterday that tells you how to plan the perfect year. So, for me I have to:1 write 3000 words a day for my next book
2 make at least three teasers that will work on multiple platforms
3 re-do all the giveaways and posts for my future Facebook takeovers!
And
4 plan some awesome giveaways!
Hope everyone is reaching their goals!!!
I am glad everyone seems to be making progress. I like your goals Becky ;) and I am wishing lots of luck with your new cover/re-launch.
Midweek update: Doing well this week!
1. Still waiting on a few more responses, but the list is almost complete for Alexis.
2. I have had a lot of progress promoting my release party and am already getting a good amount of interest! I am also extra excited about all the parents and education professionals that plan to attend. I am hoping to bring some new attention to a few of my awesome fellow children's book indie authors!
I hope everyone else is having a good week as well!

Goals this week:1. Make progress or possible even finish List of Ways to Improve on Pinterest(So far I'm on 19 and there's 34, so far so good as I've gained over 50 new followers in 2 weeks)
2. Run an Ad on iAuthor- Been meaning to do this but want to see how others did with it, may or may not do it but either way it's a goal.
3. Be more active on Goodreads- Is this one even a goal? Yes(: I'm always active on here but the idea behind the goal is to be more active in groups I've not commented in lately.
4. Prepare for Author Event for SIA- A must do and a goal that can easily be taken care of. I'm not going to list my book for free on a bunch of sites as it's tedious but I have a more subtle and easier approach.
5. Relax and remember things take time :)

Unless you're super, actively marketing and writing dozens of emails to reviewers each week and buying all those promos, then I wouldn't add your sales as a goal. It's not within your control, and there's no use in making yourself upset. I would hate to think that this one goal, hinders your others. :/
I do think your writing and blog posts are very achievable though! Good luck!

Sure thing Alex, here's the link:

This is brilliant. Thanks for posting!I run corporate social media accounts and it's weirdly true how Pinterest sends a lot of traffic to our website--and we're a B2B company so you wouldn't expect it, but there it is: Pinterest is not just for recipes or animals.
And yet I have neglected my own Pinterest, so I am adding that to my GOALS for the week:
--Fix up Pinterest already
--Send query letter to agent I've been eyeballing
--Finish transcribing ancient story on ancient paper to miraculous electronic device
Goals for this week...
1. Promote Facebook release party until wednesday
2. Have Facebook release party on the 23/24/25!
It is getting close and I am starting to get nervous, but I am super excited. I am also very thankful to my fellow children's picture book indie authors (Becky, Judy, and Carole) for your help and support with the event.

I've avoided Pinterest like the plague but I guess it's time to make room. Congrats on Facebook Party Erica. Is there a link to it?
Thanks R.L.! Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/90252...
Click "going" or "interested" and then check the event page a few times a day on the 23/24/25 for the latest game/giveaway.

You're welcome.Thanks. One of my better naming efforts-that one. Scrap that, it might be the only one I'm ever happy with!
Goals this week:Get back into the swing of things!
I've been having a terrible time getting into my regular writing schedule, so I'm hoping to just DO IT and do my morning edit and work on my project in the evenings too.
Wish me luck!
