The end of the world did not begin with a bang, or a catastrophic earthquake like the movies played it out to happen. In fact, no one was even aware of it at first except for a man named Kenneth Lock. He was the unfortunate soul who had first contracted the deadly disease. This was just like Kenneth, always getting the short end of the stick. Just that morning he'd gone out to get his morning newspaper to find the neighbor's dog had left him a present. A present he had stepped on... and then slipped on... But that was nothing because a mere four hours later as he was walking out of the restaurant at lunch hour a teeny tiny little bug flew down past his nose just as he happened to be taking in a deep breath of the warm air. "It's such a nice day", he thought, as he took this breath. "Ahh", the bug thought, as it was sucked into his nose. That was then end of that, as the pathogen had entered his body, carrying with it a new a contagious disease right out of a sci-fi novel. An hour later Kenneth coughed. Of course, he thought nothing of it, and of course, he didn't cover his mouth... Unfortunately, however, coughs carry germs, and germs sometimes carry contagions, contagions are sometimes microorganisms such as deadly bacteria and sometimes those deadly bacteria like to attach themselves to other nearby organisms. In this case, that was a friendly fellow human being by the name of Laura. Laura was now infected with this disease. About an hour later, Laura coughed. So began the cycle anew, and it went on. It went on infecting about 16 people in just the 20 hours before Kenneth was rushed to the hospital, and had infected 21 people before he finally passed away five hours later. By the time it made the news the world was already suspicious of something that had recently been making its way around the internet. Something that was vague and almost prophetic. something that would seem to speak of this, and, rather, how to stop it. How, you might ask? Well, it seemed to say that the only way to obtain a cure for it is to search the right dimension. And how do you do that? As our hero will soon find out, the only truth is Cabbage...
Next Time On, The Only Truth is Cabbage: The Cabbages will speak to a mysterious man who will tell her what she needs to do in order to cross into a new dimension. What The Cabbage learns in this new dimension will change things forever... What do you guys think this first dimension should be about? And did you like the intro?

DID I LIKE THE INTRO?! IF THE INTRO WAS A PERSON, I WOULD ADOPT IT AND THEN DISOWN IT TO MARRY IT.
One of my favorite things about TOTIC (oh btw I gave it an acronym because it's a thing now) is that it perfectly blends the grimness of a world being attacked with sudden catastrophe, with the cheerful madness that gives it a unique type of random humor. I like how you can sit and contemplate alternate universes and the threat of possibly loosing all existence, but you can also just enjoy the heroic anecdotes of The Cabbages and just generally appreciate it for the art it is, you know?
Also Kenneth now holds a place in my heart, life just doesn't like him because he's just an endearingly unlucky guy who was the catalyst for the end of the world but is also a regular joe who likes to step outside appreciate nice weather. I love that about him, even if I'm overanalyzing it.
Welp that was a breath of fresh cabbagey air, and I can't wait for the next one! :D

DID I LIKE THE INTRO?! IF THE INTRO WAS A PERSO..."
Your enthusiasm for this restores my faith in humanity and gives me life. Legit :) you are the greatest person.

Aww :), you are the best. That TV show would change the course of history for all time

The Cabbages woke up in her room like she always had before. In her place of comfort, for she did not have to interact with people. The Cabbages lived in a tiny apartment at the top of a gigantic building in the center of New York City. She quite enjoyed it too, except for when the elevator went out as she could not climb stairs well... They always thought it was weird, her being a living Cabbage in all, but she liked her weirdness. I mean, she was the only person in the entire world who was not actually a person! Sure she had the brain of a human, but nothing else about her was the same. Her brain wasn't even the same in most ways. But The Cabbages did not let this get her down. She turned up her music, which was always a very particular kind of punk rock that sounded upbeat but had really depressing lyrics, quite literally rolled out of bed, and began to sing along. She told herself to live each day with a smile on her face, to be a light in someone else's day as she looked up at the posters on her wall. Then, hoping to see a bright sun-shiny day to match her demeanor she opened the window. Her eyes widened, her mouth dropped, and her eyes glew red with the reflection of the sky outside. A giant blue swirling mass encompassed the center of the sky. Was that a cloud? She wondered. Her crazy imagination wanted to say that was some kind of portal, but that was CRAZY, right? Suddenly, the faint wind that was blowing outside began to roar. It became so loud it drowned out the music and The Cabbages became a bit worried. She rolled outside her door, which was actually just a slightly modified doggy door, and into the hall. The lights flickered and an enormous ruckus came from downstairs. Though, in hindsight the light always flickered as no one bothered repairing them up here. No one lived up here but her because no one wanted to be neighbors with a "monstrosity." The Cabbages zoomed to the elevator but was met with a terrible sight. "Out of Order." The Cabbage sighed and began to roll down the stairs. "Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow-Ow!" The Cabbages made it down the first floor where there was a rushing crowd of people headed down. "Out of the way you stupid vegetable!" Said, somebody, as they rushed past, The Cabbages was kicked, bruised, and jeered at as people speed by without concern for a "stupid vegetable." Finally, The Cabbages made it outside. People sped by on their cars and crowded the sidewalks as the sky glew an ominous red. What was going on? Wondered The Cabbages. Before The Cabbages eyes the sky grew a darker crimson, the swirling blue mass grew larger and the wind blew so hard The Cabbages had to duck into an alleyway just to keep from being blown down the street. The Cabbages closes their eyes and felt the light grow bright around her so intense that she felt that the sun might be exploding. "First the disease, now this, Perhaps those people were right, perhaps it was the end of the world." Thought The Cabbages. Then, just as suddenly as everything began it stopped. When the Cabbages opened her eyes the sky was blue again, and the wind was no more. The Cabbages and everyone else went back to their normal life. No one could explain what happened but no one cared to. About a month later, when it was all but forgotten The Cabbages got a mysterious knocking at the door. When The Cabbages went to the door, no one was there. The only thing proving she had not just imagined the noise was the note. The Cabbages saw only five words, boldly written on it. "The Only Truth Is Cabbage." She turned it over to find written there, "4:30, in the basement of the Empire State Building." The Cabbages wondered "the Empire State building has a basement?" and even more, "who is this from?"
Next time on, The Only Truth Is Cabbages: The Cabbages goes to the basement of the Empire State building at the designated time and finds a mysterious figure. Who are they? Where did they come from? And why do they want to speak to The Cabbages?
Also: What did you think of this installment, and what did you think that storm was about.
Also Also: I wrote this and then I had to go so there wasn't a lot of time for proofreading, sorry if it sucks...

PETIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITZ MAPLE!!!!!!!!! Iz BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I was happy to learn more about The Cabbage's personality and struggles beyond the whole world-in-catastrophe conflict, so I was happy when I saw it was called "The Cabbages has a Perfectly Normal Day". I like how she's a generally cheerful person and enjoys her uniqueness, but she still has emotions and is aware that others don't understand her or completely except her existence. (Speaking of which, HOW DARE THOSE MINDLESS, IGNORANT HUMANS CASUALLY ASSAULT MY BEAUTIFUL CABBAGE ARGH)
Also, my guess is that the storm was a portal, and The Cabbages is meant to go through the portal and help bring the world out of its suffering. Maybe it might even have something to with the disease! Also I think if the portal thing is true, she might meet someone or something there that will somehow help her understand her destiny, so she can finally learn WHY the only truth is within herself! Just a guess though XD
Thank you for this spectacular second edition I feel more complete now :3

The Cabbages crept slowly into the basement. It had a musky smell, and made The Cabbages want to turn and leave the second they saw it. The Cabbages made their way down an unfurnished, dirty corridor to a closed door. The Cabbages was hesitant. Maybe that note wasn't even meant for me? They thought. With a heavy sigh, The Cabbages began to push the door open. They were met with a blackness so pure it seemed to cast a shadow into the room before. I don't belong here... thought The Cabbages. They began to walk away when a small blue light caught the corner of their eye. The Cabbages turned and watched it float within the center of the dark room until it began to float in the opposite direction. The Cabbages was immediately mesmerized by this light, feeling as if they must follow it with the grandest notion of their mind. Almost without control, The Cabbages rolled straight into the dark, following the blue light. It was almost supernatural, the way the room seemed to stretch onward and onward. The Cabbages was struck by a sliver of doubt, slipping back into reality. When they turned, the door was but a faintly illuminated illusion at the back of a nonexistent horizon, at the end of the universe. The universe, as it would seem, was now confined to this dark room. Where am I? thought the Cabbages. With the whole world falling into the very darkness that consumed The Cabbages vision, they began to move forwards once more. The Bule light, as time went on became closer and closer. They Cabbages felt as though they'd been traveling for hours here. They didn't even dare to look behind them, fearing they might go mad at the sight of the endless darkness waiting, Finally, things began to shift back and take form again as they came to the blue light. It sat there, almost life like, staring at them. But that's impossible, thought The Cabbages, it can't possibly be staring at me...
"Hello." The light started The Cabbages with its sudden speech. The voice was oddly calming, however, it was comforting. As it spoke it changed its color slightly, becoming a light blue hue to match its calming tone. "Uh... hi." The Cabbages responded, trying to picture life before this room. Before the darkness. The Blue light grew a lighter shade of blue, almost expressing a smile. "I am Omnis, meaning, 'all'. I am the unified being of all beings of time and space. I shall be blunt with you. It is my, or rather, our job to watch over existence itself and ensure the security that existence shall remain. But there has been a threat..." Omnis paused, turning a shade of ice that made The Cabbages uneasy. "The Universe in which you come from is the master Universe. It lies in the center of all of existence. Existence itself is a fragile thing, and if this were to be brought off balance, the entirety of existence itself would be thrown off balance as well. That would be... catastrophic..." Omnis said the last word with a bit of an edge, shining a brief and subtle shade of red. The Cabbages found the ability to speak..." Why are you telling me this?" Omnis lit up, casting a pulse of golden light in rings down the grand corridor in which they stood. It was if they pulled a lever, and The Cabbages heard the sound of pillars coming down all around them. Then, several lights shone down like stars above them and began to shift and orbit around each other slowly. Omnis began again, "Your Universe is under a great and terrible threat that looms above all of our heads as I speak. This is the plague to end all plagues. It wishes to end all of man and thus all of time and existence. The only way to prevent this plague from its easy victory over this universe is to find the cure... Unfortunately, the cure for this lies not in the universe for which it can be used. It lies in an entirely different time, of a place unknown. The location of the universe it is found is but a myth, but there is one thing known be true... There is a path that can be taken that will lead to the doorway of this universe. It may only be traveled by mortal being. That is why I chose you." The Cabbages was confused by all this information. "What you're saying," The Cabbages choked out "Is that I have to travel to this universe that may or may not exist to save existence?!" Omnis was briefly upset by this and flashed crimson. "The universe in question most certainly exists, it is the question of how to get there that was troubling us. Now we have the answer, we have you." The Cabbages was caught off guard. Part of them just wanted to go home. "Why me, isn't there anyone else who can do this? Maybe one with opposable thumbs?" Omnis calmed down and returned to their shade of light blue. "No, for not anyone can make this journey. There is only one who can. That one is you, for you, The Cabbages, were never supposed to exist in the first place..." The Cabbages felt the earth begin to shake like it did the month before. "It is time. I may leave you with one last piece of advice. Find the one who calls himself Nobody. They will give you the first clue..." Omnis disappeared to The Cabbages objection and the room became completely dark. It was as if the Universe was gone, and as though The Cabbages did not exist any longer. The rumbling became louder and louder until there was nothing. Then, suddenly, The Cabbages knew that she was on earth no longer...
Hey guys, hope you liked this one. Where do you think The Cabbages is headed, and who is Nobody? If you know where I got that name be sure to say. ;) Thanks for reading, and what did you think of this chapter? Love you guys *GIANT HUGSSSSSS*

AAAAAAHHHH, where so I start?!
The installments keep getting increasingly more detailed and intense, to the point where I'm mentally (and a bit physically lol) shook, and I have come to a conclusion for how this is possible: OMG YOU ARE AN EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED AND PROFESSIONALLY SKILLED WRITER I MEAN IT!!! <3 :D Ok now for some specific stuff I obsessed over while I was reading the 3rd part of TOTIC:
1. The entire scene where The Cabbages walks into the basement and it turns into a inexplicable confinement of infinite darkness and she instantly begins to doubt her own importance and existence is just, AAAHH harrowing and completely perfect!!
This is my favorite quote from this scene becuase it temporarily further twisted up my brain:
"When they turned, the door was but a faintly illuminated illusion at the back of a nonexistent horizon, at the end of the universe. The universe, as it would seem, was now confined to this dark room. Where am I?"- The Cabbages, TOTIC
2. Omnis. First of all, the name is wicked cool :3 Also the concept of him is so intriguing- I mean, an orb of blue light with some kind of mystic power that can change form and color and watches over the existence and their entire universe... BRUH. As cool as he is though, I'm a bit apprehensive about him in the future events of TOTIC. Because something about that temper, how quick he is to flash from calm, chill blue to danger-better-back-up crimson, makes me kind of nervous :{
3. My theory on Nobody: I thought about it for a bit, and my best guess is that Nobody is some kind of entity similar to Omnis, but slightly less poweful and with a power that has to do with darkness or emptiness. I think he might be the ruler of wherever The Cabbages is going next, and he might have a more subdued and shady personality than Omnis judging by his name.
Also can I once again express how much I love The Cabbages??
"What you're saying," The Cabbages choked out "Is that I have to travel to this universe that may or may not exist to save existence?!"- The Cabbages, TOTIC. LOL I am literally trash for a sassy sentient vegetable, oh well!
Once again, thanks so much for this insanely unique gift of art!! Man I get way too immersed into fictional universes lol XDDD

Aurelius, once again your reaction has filled me with life. A SUPER LOAD OF LIFE! A FANTASTICAL AMAZING SUPERTASTIC LOAD OF LIFE! *Giant Hug* Thank you for caring so much about a weird brainchild of mine. Thank all the people who take real time to read these installments.

((And is the name Nobody from Greek mythology? I can't remember who exactly said it but didn't they turn invisible and say they were 'Nobody'? I don't know, that's kind of a wild guess XD))

YES! It is from the Oddesey and Odysseus told the cyclops he was named "nobody" so when he attacked it and the other cyclopses heard the commotion and asked " Is something going on?" He responded "Nobody is attacking me!" I thought that was pretty funny. Also I am a HUGE nerd btw. The next installment won't have Odysseus in it, but it will take place in a greek/mythological world of sorts. *wink wink* I don't know when it will be done, but either tonight, tomorrow, or tuesday. Also, thanks for enjoying the story! Wonder what the fandom should be called?? If not just the TOTIC fandom. But idk, Potterheads, tributes (THG), initiates (DIVERGENT) , and so TOTIC fans are?? lol, we should come up with a name.

Every time I see a notification for this thread I get so excited XD

I'm sorry, but I am sooooo busy lately, for a lot of reasons! But I will get it done!

The Only Truth is Cabbages...I haven't written it in a month, and I am very busy, but if anyone wants me to I think it could make a fun project for the summer.....
