How many pages have you read this year?
7598 pages so far this year. I've never bothered counting pages before GR, so I really don't have anything to compare it with. Anyway, my longest book so far this year was Crimen y castigo/Los hermanos Karamazov (Crime and Punishement and the Brother's Karamazov bind-up) at 712 pages.
Interesting idea to track by pages. Thank you Holly for posting instructions on how to get the data. I had remembered seeing it somewhere once but could never find it again! This year, I have read a total of 11,168 pages and my longest book was 720 pages. I haven't compared before but according to GR, I'm already way ahead of 2013.
I forgot about it for a long time too, Kassandra! I actually love the publication date information. It spurs me on to see that regardless of enjoying the classics, most of my reads still fall in the 20th and 21st centuries.
So far, I've read 12,818, pages, and my longest was Ulysses, at a whopping 933 pages. I've already read 3/4 of the pages I read last year, so I'm chuffed with myself!

I have read a total of 8,714 pages so far this year (more than last year already!) - and my longest was The Count of Monte Cristo at an eye-watering 1,276 pages - phew!
I have read a total of 24,189 pages till now. The longest book I've read is The Well of Ascension - 796 pages. Hope to improve on this :)
Mine says I've read 12,900 so far, but considering I'm over halfway through 4 books that I currently have on the go, I'm pretty sure it's closer to 14,000. My longest is going to be Vanity Fair once I've completed it.
Thanks for posting the instructions!! I also stumbled on this a while back and could never find it again. So Yay!
23,694 pages so far. Longest was The Count of Monte Christo, but it didn't seem like the longest.
I didn't understand like half of that book! Hopefully I can get through some chunksters this summer!
11,196 pages so far. I looked at last year and I am at about the same for half the year. My longest so far is A Winter's Tale. I love this so cool!
Thanks for posting the instructions for this feature. :)9,180 so far in 2014. Longest - Winter of the World - 940.
I've read 14314 pages and my goal is 25,000 for the year. My longest book is Dune at 894 pages, which is surprising because it didn't seem long at all.

Thank you! I'm always trying to tell people that, but I don't think they believe me. :P

So far I am up to 32,190 pages; with the longest book being Son of the Morning by Mark Alder at 779 pages, like most people this really didn't feel like it was that long and I could have happily have read at least the same again of this amazing book!
I have read 20,438 pages this year. This means another type of goal? I may just stick to the number of books I read; the book numbers look better. :)
5969 - which is not quite accurate because the pages of books that I have not finished are not counted, so I counted my updates for 201495 pages LTI
115 pages Pooh's Corner
161 pages 1493
117 pages The 43 Group
126 pages Hitlers Bürokraten
51 pages Amerika, dich hasst sich's besser
35 pages Jews and Words
155 pages Fever Pitch
140 pages Lesen
31 pages Antisemitismus und Gesellschaftstheorie
15 pages dtv-Atlas Deutsche Sprache
21 pages Gerahmter Diskurs
72 pages Ein Buch namens Zimbo
922 pages Jahrestage
11 pages Die protestantische Ethik und der "Geist" des Kapitalismus
84 pages Seelandschaft mit Pocahontas
14 pages Dubliners
87 pages Fromme Lügen
58 pages The Human Stain
134 pages Der Gotteswahn
which totals to 2444. So, at least with regards to what I have tracked with GR I have read 8413 pages ... not much compared to the numbers posted here.
20659 so far, from 68 books. The longest book was 1984 at 668 pages, but as others have said about books they enjoyed - it was so good it didn't seem long.Almost half my books are on my sci-fi/fantasy shelf. I was happy to note that a nice chunk of my books were on my "SFF Explorer" shelf (new to me SFF authors) and "Would Read More from this Author" shelf. That tells me I have made some nice new discoveries this year :)
Hmm so far 1689 of 8 books currently on page 195 of Under the Dome which weighs (almost quite literally since it is a huge book and that is the paperback edition) in at 1088 pages So technically I've read 1883 pages, well technically a little less than that since some of the books start on page 3 or some page other than # 1 and in the case of Under the Dome the "chapters" or sections are divided by some blank pages and section title pages.
Thanks Holly for the instructions on how to find the total page number, I didn't know that GR had that feature. 23,379 for the year for me (actually should be a bit less as I abandoned a couple of books half way, but is compensated by three books that I read and are not in GR) with the longest being Les Miserables at 1,463 pages, so glad I did get that one done this year
5775, which is almost to my next highest from back in 2011. Preggo without narcolepsy meds then newborn time messed me up for a while lol
14,344 so far this year. This vacation is helping me nicely out with the page count and I'm about 2000 pages ahead of where I was at this point last year.
I have read 12,169 so far this year, which i think is pretty good because i have never challenged myself to read as much as i have this year :)
I'm currently at 10,517. I don't actually have a page goal for the year, but I'm looking forward to see how many I complete. :)
Rebecca wrote: "GR has my count at 101,223, but my count is 105,903."Rebecca, that is amazing! How do you find the time to read all of those books?
I have read 12,472 pages so far this year. My longest book so far is Beautiful Creatures at 563 pages. Last year I read 17,779 pages.
Up to 21284 words... I have been reading a lot of shorter books recently, in order to up my book count (still horrendously behind), so I doubt it will go up majorly by the time I finish this year.
I've surpassed last years page count by over 4000, so I'm happy with that!

Iasa, you seem far harsher than I am when rating books! But then again, looking at what the stars actually mean, maybe I've been a bit generous!
I've read 36769 pages. Longest book so far is Winter of the World by Ken Follett at 960 pages. Last year I read 45725.

which edition of 1884 has 668 pages? I've just double checked all four editions we keep in the shop and they all come in at around the 340 page mark..... I want a double length version! lol
65,576 pages/171 books so far. My longest book A Breath of Snow and Ashes at 980 pages, although it doesn't seem that long while reading it.
I rated only 10 books 1 or 2 stars (I did have some DNFs, though).
23 5-star books, but I probably overrated a couple.
I didn't read for several months this year, so I should do better next year.
24,129 pages so far - about 2000 pages more than all of last year. It looks like I've definitely been reading shorter books this year as I've read 79 books so far and only 62 last year. That means my average book is 305 pages versus 357 last year.

If you want to see how many pages you've read so far:
1. Click on 'My Books'
2. In the top right, you'll see 'Stats'. This gives you the statistics of your books, by year, including number of books, number of pages, and the publication date of the books you've read.
3. Click on pages, and pick '2014'.
You can also see the longest book you've read, and how they are spread out over your shelves. I find this particularly useful as I shelve mine by the genre they are, and when they were written.
Obviously, it may not be exact. Different editions have different page counts, and depending on how accurately you record your books, your page count will be reasonably accurate!
I thought it would just be a nice thing to discuss and analyse!
