@Mr Chris: Hiya and welcome!!
Hugs,
Ann

Hmm... maybe cranky people are drawn to tentacled sea life?

It's so hard to get it clean again, though.
T.R. wrote: "Your stuff definitely sounds intriguing; I'm a big fan of mythology and darker, weirder fantasy stories."
I'm always on the lookout for some myself!
Thanks to everyone for the welcome!

She was my favorite character to write, which no doubt says worlds about my mental state.

Tree Mouth tells the tale of brash young ne'er-do-well Jorn and Kiri the harpy, two of six sacrifices forced to descend into a ruined land of fallen divinity and madness - where the insane survivors of a war between demons and gods await them.
It's a little nuts, but so am I, so I guess that's par for the course.

Six young sacrifices are forced to descend into a desolate underworld where the unhinged survivors of a war between gods and demons still rule the ruins. Expecting to die, the intended victims discover that there might still be the slightest chance of escape...
I write fantasy with strong horror elements, a bit of snark, drama, and a touch of gallows humor.
Parasite Soul, for instance, begins as the (fairy) tale of a peasant lad promised the hand of a princess if he manages to slay a dragon with a mystical sword - but really the sword is cursed with a soul-destroying parasite and the princess is psychotic and homicidal.
If you think things should always work out for your fantasy heroes, I'm probably not your guy. Hell, if you prefer your heroes to actually BE heroes I may not be your guy (in my serial Tales of Tourniquet, the protagonists include a sleazy, amoral voyeur and a creature whose detachable head has a penchant for human flesh).
If, however, you are intrigued by the notion of mythological oddities behaving badly, I might just be up your dark alley!
I'll follow any authors back on Twitter or here on Goodreads!
