J.P. Cawood | 4 comments I’d love to get my books on “lists" on Goodreads and wondering what the best way to do that is. Do I need to somehow register with Listopia? I know some groups create reading lists/challenges and maybe I could message the admins. Any suggestions on this front would also be incredible. Thanks guys!

You can't add your own book to lists, other people have to do it.

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) CL is right. Readers add books to lists and can only add books they have actually read.

M.K. Williams (1mkwilliams) | 16 comments Hi J.P. ,
I have asked my friends that have read my books to vote for my books to add them to specific lists. I find that my friends who aren't authors aren't as savvy when it comes to Goodreads so I sent them a nice email asking them to rate, review, and vote for my book. In that email, I included the link to the lists that I want my book to be on.

Heh, my friends aren't either. I appreciate all they try to do anyway.

JP, another option, if you trust spammers, is to pay someone else to do it for you. (I got an email today from someone offering to like my reviews, add a bunch of nice reviews of my books, and to add them to Goodreads lists for a fee. I'm pretty sure half of it was against Goodreads terms of service. I said no.)

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Previous post deleted. Offering to swap any service is against group rules and most are a violation of Goodreads policies as well.

Spammers are definitely in violation of Goodreads policies and should be reported, not considered.

Exactly. But we can laugh at them, too.
