I believe a publisher's error has caused two books to be imported all over the place with the wrong name attached.

The books in question are Touching Midnight and Body Work.

The source of the error I believe is the publisher, Harlequin MIRA: MIRA - Body Work, MIRA - Touching Midnight

Notice: Both editions are a) the only books by these authors with this mix-up, b) both published on July 15 2014.

I do not think these author names are pseudonyms for the same person. Here are their author profiles on Harlequin's site: Fiona Hood-Stewart, Fiona Brand.

My assessment: someone from the Harlequin MIRA team accidentally selected Fiona Hood-Stewart instead of Fiona Brand when publishing those two books. Since then the error has gone uncorrected, replicating itself in imports from bookseller site to bookseller site.

Can we end this chain of misinformation? :D

The covers only have one author, and there does indeed seem to be no reason to think the two authors are the same person.

Go for it.
