I think it wasn't big macs she eats, but quarter pounders with cheese. Buys two at a time, if I remember rightly.


I was a little disappointed to be honest but,as others have said, this being the first in a series there is a lot of setting up the character etc. It also sounds like some of her friends play a bigger role in later books which sounds interesting.
I did find it very hard to believe her as female - even after she became involved with what's his name - which is doubly odd considering the author is also female. It's refreshing that she's female but not worried about her appearance all the time ( several books I could mention) or running after crims in ridiculous heels ( TV detectives please take note !). She just doesn't sound female in my head, I can't work out why.
I've certainly read worse and the 'twist' that there were two murderers was interesting , so I'm hoping for better things with 'B'. I'm willing to give it a try anyway ( thanks to comments on this tread)

Hi Carolyn, I completely agree with you so I gave the series another chance and I read B and that was the last book that I ever bothered to read in that series.
