Hello! Just wondering if this group is still active at the moment. Would love to read a new book if there are enough people still interested :)

Awesome! That's great news. I don't actually know how the group runs, I'm not a moderator or anything, so I'm not sure how the books get chosen or set up in the group. Hoping a mod sees this :)

Me too... I am reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay right now... Only on page 98 if any of you want to join in... I am not sure if the group is still reading a book a month like they use to.... Yes, let us know if you guys are still doing the book a month or not... I just got into watching Gilmore Girls a year ago... Still only in Season 5... absolutely love that show..
According to the intro, this group was reading the books in the WB Official book list, which I think is this one here [http://www.listchallenges.com/rorys-b...] and there are only 124 books on that list. It appears that this group has already read 119 books.. maybe that's why it has stopped running?
That''s okay Nicole... I will just read the books on my own like I have been for a few months... It is a good challenge for me because this is the first time in my life that I have a goal for reading books...And the first time in my life that I have decided to make time for reading... So far all the books that I have read have been great only one I didn't like and that was Slaughter House Five.... So, if the group is still reading books---great, if not that's okay....
I just looked at it says the main moderator hasn't been active on Goodreads since October 2016, so maybe it's just gone by the wayside and no one is paying attention to it anymore?? Too bad! I'd read along with everyone else!
Ahhhhh... That's too bad....I didn't realize it had been that long since the main moderator had been active in the group... Darn... Well, if a few of us want to read the books... I'm in... :-))
I'm actively doing the challenge right now :) And currently reading 1984 and Sonnets from the Portuguese.
No I don't think this is active anymore.
There are 6 group Mods and at least 3 are still active on Goodreads (they have books listed as currently-reading since December)
Traditionally, a mod would come up with a list of classic books and a list of contemporary, and we'd vote for 6 of each list. We'd alternate from each list - classic one month, next month contemporary, and so on. Somebody last year took charge on their own and helped create the list for the year. I don't post much, but I've always enjoyed reading others'.
Hey everyone!! This book challenge is still going on but the group name is now under "The Rory Gilmore Book Challenge". Right now they are reading " Emma". I have never read a Jane Austin book before. So it is quite a struggle for me but as I get further along in the book I am getting used to the style of writing... so check out the other group name to join up. 👍😀😄👍

Yes it is still going... But the new name is "The Rory Gilmore Book Challenge... They are reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" for the month of November... I hope you check out the group...
