Jennifer (jhaltenburger) | 648 comments Misty-- your third series down has I Scream, You Scream (A Mystery A La Mode, #1) by Wendy Lyn Watson in it-- I can't remember what that series is called but it's set in an ice cream parlor. But now that I'm looking at it the other book there isn't from that series. Which series were you thinking of reading?

Misty - You listed the first of two series set in ice cream parlors - Mystery a La Mode and Willow Crier Cozy. Jennifer's post is the first in the Mystery A La Mode series, I Scream, You Scream. That's also the title of the second book in the Willow Crier Cozy series! I Scream, You Scream We're not sure which series you intended to list. Please pick one of those series and let us know which one you will read.

message 81: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Sousa | 504 comments I finished the first of my books: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder (Hannah Swensen, #1) by Joanne Fluke by Joanne Fluke. It was a fun, quick read -- a nice break from my current audiobook (The Life We Bury). Some of it was a bit unbelievable, mainly the ineptitude of the local police (who just happens to be Hannah's brother-in-law), but it was an enjoyable story. I see why so many people have recommended this series. On to book 2.

Anna Catharina I finished my first March book, the first book of the Hugh de Singleton serie The Unquiet Bones (Hugh de Singleton, Surgeon Chronicles #1) by Mel Starr . It was an excellent read and I enjoyed every single page. If you looking for a good medieval mystery, I would recommand this book. The moment I finished this book, I started with book two.

Sabine (bine) | 20 comments Finished my first read for the month: Skinny Dipping with Murder (An Otter Lake Mystery, #1) by Auralee Wallace Skinny Dipping with Murder
An island retreat and the small town Cooper, NH on the shore of Otter Lake are a wonderful setting for this mystery. Some crazy town folks guarantee for this story to become a wild ride. When Erica comes back home from to help her mother with a retreat she finds her former classmates still being the harebrained, foolish people she left behind. And the happenings at the Raspberry social which caused her to leave her hometown 8 years ago are still well remembered by the town residents.
So when one of the men that were involved in the incident back then is found dead everyone wonders if Erica might have killed him.
A crazy and laugh out loud mystery with a nice dose of romance.
