I wasn't expecting all the killing. However, once it started, I was surprised that Waits didn't kill the forensics team when he stole the van.

I think he was only interested in people who were armed.

Yes, I could see that Waits was going to try something as soon as they mentioned taking his cuffs off. I was surprised that he killed Olivas though.

Yeah, the Olivas part of it was the shocker. It's funny how Connelly took what seemed to be a predictable path and managed to throw in a twist at the same time.
