Were you suspicious of Waits' authenticity? Of Rick O'Shea & Freddy Olivas' motives?

I knew straight away that Waits was up to something. It was obvious that he would try something on the "field trip".

I did, however, fall for the O'Shea and Olivas misdirection. That twist was very clever on Connelly's part and bumped up my appreciation for the story.

I knew, too, that the field trip was going to be Waits opportunity. Agree with you completely about the twist! Never saw that coming and was so sure of O'Shea and Olivas' complicity.
