Dale, congratulations on your Editor Choice awards for January, 2018, from Indies Unlimited.
I also got an honorable mention for 1/20/2018. Personally I liked that story better than the story for the week I won, but I won't complain. ;-)

Just received a call from a local newspaper reporter, asking if I were available to be interviewed for a story she wanted to write about my flash fiction series of anthologies. She said she'd like to do something for August, so we're getting together on the phone this Thursday morning. In the meantime, she sent me a list of more than ten questions on topics she wanted to discuss related to my background, the use of photographic prompts, the mix of fact and fiction, and so forth.

BTW, one of the flash fiction stories in Book 4 of my series features, by name, a merchant in the area served by the newspaper. This, apparently, was the "hook" that garnered the call from the reporter.

Something good? I made some sales.
Something good? I made some sales.Departing from my belief that it is not right to give my much-loved book away as a freebie - it's worth more... etc., etc., I put it on a 3 day freebie. There's more info about this on another thread.
The good news is that I've sold something like 30 of my other books at the same time and the sales are still coming in. I haven't yet covered the cost of the advertising...
Still - I'm enjoying thinking it's good news!
In the interests of accuracy, I had another count up of sales of other books on my freebie days and the following days. It's 60.

But something good definitely happened - yay!
I hope I can pass some fairy dust on to you.
Just released Book 5 in my flash fiction anthology series, Creative Ink, Flashy Fiction.

Actually, the Kindle edition had been on pre-sale for three months so it went live at midnight. And when I couldn't sleep last night, I got up at 3:15 a.m. and hit the "publish" button on CreateSpace for the paperback edition . (;>) Never let any moss grow under your feet!

The hardest bit is trying to find 2-3 things to write about each week."
Thank you. I don't think you have to write that much for most publications, although you'd have to check their guidelines. I think Writing Cooperative will drop you if you go 90 days without submitting anything, but that allows for a pretty slow pace. Lit Up doesn't seem to have any particular submission rate requirements, although they don't currently accept Partner Program submissions. I think they are working on changing that in the near future, although I'm not sure.
