Bugger.

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I have been separated from the other DJ Cooper. It's bad enough being Amy then DJ without there being three of me. I wouldn't want to inflict that one anyone.

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments Leading to the mid-40's question of "Who am I?"

I ordered a new writing table for the garden for the summer. I'm assuming we'll get some this year.

Sending you hugs and kisses. I had the laser thing to both eyes this December and January and carried on like it was an amputation. You're very brave, Debz.

But laser is destructive to the eye, it's quite possible you were in worse shape with that than I was with a bit of metal sticking out of my eyeball. (I can hear my sister saying 'Deborah, you nasty bugger' or something like that!)

lol. No choice - the viscous or something is separating from my eye wall- They had to laser or run the risk that I was going to tear my retina and do something irreversible. Just what I needed with all the other stuff going on in my life back then.
All better now...sort of.

message 2808: by D.J. (new)

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I've heard of that. I think there's a risk of that from having my injection. Something like less than 0.1%. I laugh in the face of anything under 1%!

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments Squeee! Three people have pre-ordered Missing Remnants (one might be me) and no-one has returned it yet. #EasilyPleased

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments That's good, they could have all been me. Possibly. Actually I don't think that would work...

Margaret Standafer | 88 comments Anchored in Misty Lake (Misty Lake, #4) by Margaret Standafer Release day is here! The fourth book in my Misty Lake Series, Anchored in Misty Lake, is available today. It's been a long haul, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be at the finish line. The books in the Misty Lake Series are clean, romantic suspense novels set in Northern Minnesota, centering around the McCabe family. I hope you'll take a look.

Oh, and thrilling to me was the fact that BookBub sent out a new release notice. Not that I have many followers, but still exciting.

Available on Amazon http://a.co/gm14roi
Free to read with Kindle Unlimited.

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments That’s the first one init? I’ve read the others but not the first which is not like me. I don’t do things out of order. Reading Cas at the moment. So many books, so little time.

message 2837: by D.J. (new)

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I very rarely give up on anything. I doubt you’d ever appear on my dnf list.

message 2838: by D.J. (new)

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I’m the same. I’ve always had to finish everything I’ve started whether it’s a book or a film. So far this year I’ve been picky. I’m reading you, RL, Carole’s Bulwark, an audio book from Ted, an audio book of Michael’s. I will finish them all. But I can’t guarantee I’ll finish them all this year lol. #SlowReader

message 2839: by D.J. (new)

When you are an author, reading is like homework- I like to read how other authors tackle subjects or spin a story- I think it helps us find our own voice.

When you write a review about it- you sort of pick up things that make you think about your own work.

message 2841: by D.J. (new)

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I’ve not been very good with my homework for a while now. It’s very spasmodic. I’m reading more now my vision is compromised. Clearly, I am a masochist.

Alexis | 861 comments I really like this book I’ve been writing but I started stressing about how to market it, etc, etc.

One of my friends just volunteered to do all the marketing aspects of it for me. (She has a marketing degree.)

So I’m basically in 7th heaven right now.
And feeling really lucky!!

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments Fantastic result Alexis. I’m still contemplating what I do with my latest. So far I have Facebook and Twitter. I did a actually fire up mailchimp yesterday so I suppose that’s a good thing.

Thanks! She doesn’t have any experience with book marketing but I trust her, and it’s a relief to have someone to share the burden with in.

Have you joined groups on Facebook?

message 2848: by D.J. (new)

D.J. Cooper | 1028 comments I’ve only joined a couple. I need to find a couple more. It takes a lot of time in the end to keep up with everything so I’m trying to join things in a sensible manner.
