Yes, Carole.... having a loving relationship with a mom is the most beautiful foundation anyone can be given in life. Your gift was one that would continue to give joy, day after day.

Navigating Indieworld - something we should all have read! On Amazon.com I think it was.I can see what you mean, Alex. They're all sky high!

Thank you, Judy! He was one of a kind.
My good news is that Amazon price matched my novella to permafree. And as soon as that happened, not only did 27 people download it, but I also sold 30 copies of the first book in the linked series. I usually sell only one or two a day!

Temporarily, Carmel. Thank goodness for my background in Computer Science. But its temporary. My computer shuts down at the drop of a hat and I have to go back through the grueling process of getting it back to life. But for now I'm back on. I am doing Medium features again, but I have to tread with caution because yesterday my computer died again and it took a while to get it back on again. I have been using my phone's internet to remain active on Goodreads and in groups when my computer has been wacky. If anyone still wants a feature better get it in now, because I don't know when my computer will die and I'll have to bring it back again. I have just posted Erica Graham's feature on my blog and my Facebook. So give her some support will ya? Thanks for your patience everybody!

Thirty years in the writing. I finally got this one off my chest. I guess for all you normal humans out there it's not an easy read. Clap anyway, I need the money! Thanks.https://medium.com/@debzcooper/your-c...

Shared and read, Amy! I can wholeheartedly relate. Must be kindred spirits.

Whew, hell of an article Amy. I guess the only positive is that you’ve been able to be better for your kids and for your husband. Some people who go through what you go through, become abusive towards their own kids as well. I am incredibly happy that you managed to find and follow the light.
I said just that. My brother came over and I had to feed him- so I just came back to the computer!!
The best burgers (little sliders) and fried potatoes in truffle oil. I love feeding my brother! He is so cute.

clapped, Amy, it's good to get it off your chest
Many thanks to all who wished the UK mothers a happy day.It has been wonderful. Time spent with our children is very precious and much appreciated.
Getting through what I’m hoping will be the last edit of Missing Remnants. I am very pleased with it. Just trying to pick up the typos I’ve missed. Then it’ll be onto covers. I’m sorely tempted to not do a paperback. But as the covers are affordable I may as well. Am I using KDP for paperbacks? Or does createspace get your paperbacks distributed to anywhere other than Amazon. (I’ve never managed to sell paperbacks to anyone other than me and a school friend.)
Createspace will make your book available on multiple platforms if you choose expanded distribution. However, I have a feeling that they will be switching everything over to KDP soon anyway. Congrats on your progress!
Thanks Erica. The rumours about CS are why I used KDP For my first two. Like I said, my books don’t really sell in paperback form. Maybe I’ll just do KDP and be done with it.
All the best for publication, Amy. Is it possible to do some paperbacks through Amazon KDP and perhaps add CreateSpace later?
That all depends if CS keeps going or if Amazon closes it down. Technically, I don’t know if it is possible.
Right now, KDP is not offering the Extended Distribution Channel which distributes the book to retailers in the US. The website says it will be an offering in the future.
I've stuck a blurb help request up if anyone has the time to take a look. Thanks.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Well it took some time but.... I have finished writing Singularity :D It's off to the editor's next month and then back to marketing. Yay :(
Erica wrote: "Way to go, Eldon! Good luck with marketing. Not my favorite part of writing either."Is it anyone's favorite? Lol
I don't mind doing marketing but I don't really know what I'm doing. As I learn a new trick, I stick to that even as it fails... and then I hope for something to throw itself in front of me. Even when it does, I can't find the time to get my head round some other way of going about things.I don't have paperbacks out yet and when I do, I shall attempt to get them into local bookshops and tentatively contact local newspapers and so on. And it will get pushed to the back of the diary. And the dishwashing will become very important and dusting under the bed...
So a big thank you to everyone for all the encouragement we receive from members of this group, and it's led us all to get to know each other - so thank you, Carole.
I like the social aspect of the marketing. If only there wasn't so much research and trial and error.
Ok, so I am pretty pumped about this. I published a new article on medium yesterday that is completely different from all my others. I didn't share it here because I have been posting a lot and trying not to annoy everyone. ;) I had some followers after posting and when I checked the reach referrers I discovered that my article is one of the featured articles under the "media" section (i have not the faintest idea how it landed there)! No claps as of yet, but it is pretty cool that it is getting some notice and being featured!
Wow- they noticed you- That's terrific, Erica. I'm clapping here for you right now!!
I love writing those articles. They remind me a bit of Ted and Dale's shorts. It builds your strength and skill to get your thoughts across. I find them great practice.

I know it is challenging for you, but for what it is worth, I think you do a great job socializing. You are very real and relatable.
Thank you Carole and Alex! I have had 4 or 5 articles I haven't shared here. I am glad you enjoyed my college article Carole. That was another one that was very different for me, but I enjoyed writing it. The one being featured in the media section is the research article.
Alex, you mentioned you were getting some traction on your recent article. You should check referers to see if it is being featured anywhere. Go to stats and (depending on your device) you should be able to click referrers under the title. It will show you where all the traffic is coming from. See if any of the addresses is from one of the main medium sections then go there an scan the featured articles. Worth a look. :)
Under your title should be the length of the read, view story, and referrers. I am using the Firefox browser.
