Hey guys, I did the DNA thing and found a second or third cousin who is a musician who is crusading for healthcare for all. I'm pretty proud of him- please share if you don't mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkzI_...

I think something like 80 percent of British people are descendants of Edward the third. I found out that I have a percentage of English DNA- Hi cuz.

I also found my aunt's illegitimate daughter- that nobody in the family knew about except for me, I wrote about it on Medium.

It was interesting connecting with Clifford ( the guy who did the video). I knew his parents very well, I adored them. They lived far away and never brought him to visit. In those days there weren't many highways and a trip from Jersey to Queens took hours. I did remember seeing a picture of him. I lost touch with them all after my grandmother passed away- so it was really nice reconnecting.

Hi Guys,
If you would like to include an excerpt of your book in the magazine please submit on the website by clicking the "SUBMIT" tab, upload all required areas, your excerpt: "MYAWESOMEBOOK-EXCERPT.doc" and choose "Article" as the application.

Take a look in our current month's magazine featuring NYT Bestseller Alessandra Torre and see how the excerpt looks in that edition. www,indieauthorsmonthly.com/read-here

message 2239: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Hockaday | 79 comments Congratulations to everyone's success.

I would like to announce that last week my 3rd poetry book was released. It's called Beautiful, Strong Women:Poems of The Journey To Overcoming Domestic Violence.

No sales yet but I am hoping that this book will be a success due to the timing of it's release and what has been happening recently. I have reached out to people and businesses and offered 1 a free copy, but no response or a purchase. I am praying that this book will be a success and get into the hands of many people. For some reason people just want to say congratulations or like my announcement. Hoping to get some sales going. I will be shipping a few copies to a bookstore soon in California. Hopefully that helps.

And, Carole....I'm so sorry to hear that you are dealing with such a significant and worrisome event. You have had more than your share of stress in the past couple of months. I will add you all to my prayers.

Hey, guys! Here is the latest article I published on Medium.com. Check it out here and let me know what you think! If you like it, be sure to give me a bunch of "claps" on Medium.

https://medium.com/@caroleproman/we-a...

Brit was kind enough to help me load this- but what I want to say- is that inspiration to write comes even in the darkest times- and sometimes helps in ways we don't realize.

Great article, Carole. I have worked with children in schools, but currently work with children and adults in hospitals, nursing homes, and rehab facilities. My passion is in a medical setting and I have always admired the nurses and CNAs. They have a challenging and often thankless job. Some nurses and most CNAs are grossly underpaid. It is not uncommon for me to get called in by a nurse or CNA to help in a challenging situation and I always walk away with a greater appreciation for what they do. Lots of claps for your article!
