Carmel Hanes I need to figure out this clapping thing. I did in my head, and chuckled, but don't understand clapping yet! So much to learn in this place!

message 2003: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments It’s the same as hitting like. You hit the clapping hands. You can give as big or small a round of applause as you like. Paying members of Medium who clap contribute to the earnings received by members of the partners program.

It’s early days, we’ll see. I might eventually make the £2.50 I always aim to on a new venture!

message 2005: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments Much appreciated as always. I’m trying to think of another one. I need the money lol. You seem to be able to publish virtually anything inoffensive on there.

message 2017: by Carmel (new)

Carmel Hanes You must be jumping up and down, Alex! How fun! I hope it continues to climb in the ratings (or drop, I guess, because lower is good, right?), and that it helps the rest of your books! Good antidote to the winter blues!

I had a great turn out at the library today! I was signing books and handed out a ton of flyers for the Indie Advent Calendar and my Facebook party. If you haven't check the Facebook party out, please do. Especially if you are interested in possibly winning some kids books. Carole, Becky, Judy and Rocio are all giving away paperback books. All you have to do is simply comment on their posts to enter. There are also Amazon gifts cards and other items up for grabs. Go to https://www.facebook.com/events/15065... and click the discussion tab. Then scroll through to find the giveaways that are still open. :)

Wow! What I wouldn't give to spend just one hour standing next to you at the table! What a terrific article. You need to incorporate that into a novel! Just terrific!

message 2039: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments I will definitely do that when I can think of something amusing. Thanks Carole.

Here's an old story I've published on Medium, it usually causes a stir when I tell it!

Thanks, Erica, don't forget to send me something so we can feature you on a Friday!!!!

message 2042: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments My second story was also on the Medium Daily Three Digest email thingy.

It's a somewhat watered down version of the original from 20 years ago but it's close enough.

https://medium.com/@debzcooper/the-ki...

I just need to be paid something, anything, now. I'll take small change at this point.

Thanks, I'm not sure if that's a "thing" or maybe it's automatically generated. Still, it's nice to be noticed even if its virtually.

Thanks RL.

These articles are coming thick and fast. I've just penned "the big one" but I might save it for January. Or I'll run out of ideas.

It's addictive, I think. I get an idea and put it up there. Hoping it translates to fans for the magazine.

Carmel Hanes An amusing story, well told. But the scientist in me wants to sit with you and a hot cup of coffee and convince you that correlation is not causation....yes, tongue in cheek here! :)
