This is terrific. Susan and I were in a local elementary school last week speaking to 80 kindergartners about bullying. We need all the attention we can muster on this subject.

Thanks, Carole.

I don't know why, but I can't get inside the October issue. When I go to Indie Authors Monthly website the cover for the October issue is there, but when I click "Read Here" the September issue comes up? Anybody else having a problem?

Great cover! The blurb isn't too bad, either. ;-) Remind me when the book is finally available. I'd like to read it.

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments The last episode of Nate and Day appeared on Radish Fiction five days ago. It's free in two days. Things on Radish have been so slow I've stopped looking. I've just seen someone jumped ahead and inadvertently spent 3 coins to read the last chapter. Yay :) I've got 36 coins now. That's a whole $1.52 apparently. (I won't spend it all at once :-)

Anita Dickason (anitadickason) | 220 comments My good happening for this month is my blog tour for Sentinels of the Night. It kicks off on Monday, October 30 and runs until November 10. It's something new, and I expect to have a lot of fun.

I dropped the price of the eBook to 99 cents. Will see if that jump-starts a few sales. I am also trying to push readers to my website with sale buttons that link to Kindle, B&N, and iBooks.

Anyone interested- I'm sending books

"It is as important in America today to teach an adult to read as it is to teach a child." John Corcoran - The Teacher Who Couldn't Read

I would aver that it is as important not just in America, but world wide as well.

Dear Ms. Roman:

The Literacy Council of Benton County in Arkansas would like to invite you to help support our 11th Annual Scrabble Wars featuring an exclusive Scrabble tournament as well as a silent auction. We ask that you consider donating a signed book to our silent auction that we hope will raise $25,000 that night to support the mission of the Literacy Council.

We would love to be able to display a signed copy of "Oh Susannah: Things That Go Bump" or another one of your favorite books. As our group contains teachers, photographers, librarians, sports fans, clergy, philosophers, professors, lay scientists, theologians, scholars, history aficionados, businessmen, and voracious readers interested in a multitude of subjects, I know the bidding will be fierce.

In the past we've had books from England, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Israel, South Africa, Canada, Norway, France, Sweden, Scotland and now Italy. Authors who have donated include Elie Weisel, Walter Williams, Pat Conroy, Tony Blair, Tim Russert, John le Carre, Daniel Dennett, S.M. Boyce, Steven Pinker, Stephen Coonts, Sally Ride, Brad Thor, Niall Ferguson, Paul Sussman, Dava Sobel, Michael Shermer, Clive Cussler and others. Many writers have helped us out in multiple years. We've had a Franklin Mint Scrabble set from Graham Nash, signed scripts of Bob Newhart’s last episode of the TV show "Newhart," one from Alan Alda and "Mash", and a signed football from Gale Sayers.

Scrabble Wars will be held January 27, 2018, at the local Four Points by Sheraton. The committee has already secured several auction prizes that promise to make this event very memorable—and your item would be an excellent addition.

Our mission is to dramatically increase adult literacy in Benton County, Arkansas. Scrabble Wars will help us improve the lives of those in our county who cannot read, write, or speak English. All of our tutoring is done by volunteers; we are a true grass roots non-profit, charging our students nothing for learning skills that you and I take for granted. Your donation of a book or an item will help us raise money to be spent on instructional materials specific for our adult students and tutors, pay the rent, and keep our doors open. You can help us reach even more people in need.

Thank you for considering this request to support Literacy Council of Benton County. Of course, the value of any item you send us may be tax deductible to you, and you will receive a receipt letter stating that if requested. Items may be mailed to my attention at the Literacy Council of Benton County, 205 NW A St., Bentonville, AR 72712. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 479-640-8451 or rfschro@cox.net.

If any of your writer friends would like to participate in Scrabble Wars, we would love to include them and they can also contact me as well.

Hey all my something good happened a earlier this week but have been too busy to post. I got a glowing review from a review company that I advise you all to try out.

5 ⭐️ Crashing Into Me is a gripping opening in a series by R.L Jackson, riveting and utterly entertaining, a real gem for fans of contemporary romance. It has been hard for Lana McKenzie to forget the man who’d left her at the altar — the tall, slim, and insanely handsome Sammy — for a different girl. A year after the incident, she still gets to see her ex and his girl, which only makes the pain deeper. All she wants is to get away, but then things change abruptly when the rich but bad-boy, Kayden Capshaw, comes crashing into her life. Although he is a very rich guy, Kayden has his own issues to handle, including the loss of his brother, his recent run-ins with the law, and a domineering mother. These two strangers will rock each other’s lives in ways they never imagined. But can the fire in their hearts burn for much longer?

R.L Jackson has crafted a novel that is compelling with characters that are real — emotionally and psychologically strong. The conflict is introduced right off the bat and the reader is keen to follow Lana, self-absorbed and anxious. But she makes a surprising journey towards the conquest of her inner freedom when this new guy comes into her life. I enjoyed the fact that Kayden, though rich in his own right, is presented as inwardly broken and struggling with serious questions in his life. Now, the reader follows the pair as they explore each other’s worlds, wondering if they can find themselves in each other. Crashing Into Me is a title that features a great plot, strong characters, and the kind of pacing that makes it hard to put aside. I also enjoyed the graceful prose and the evocative style of writing.
