This is the chapter where Hamilton dies. McCullough devotes two dry sentences to this event, unsurprisingly.It's also the chapter wherein we learn all about the many scandals of James Callender. What a villain! He was right about Sally, tho.
I also marked this quote by Epictetus: "It is difficulties that show what men are." Ain't that the truth.
I liked this chapter overall. I enjoyed the tale of Adams and Rush becoming ardent penpals. I'm old enough to remember having cherished penpals myself; sometimes I miss it.
