what are you doing to get ready for #10?

I'm simply trying to read them all before the next book comes out! I am not caught up to speed yet, but I also like reading slow so the series lasts longer.
Greedily reading excerpts, like @Catia. And I also reread Fire Touched a few months ago. It made me a little wistful though, because I liked all the Fae stuff in it so much, and all the pack stuff, and from the book description, I'm guessing we're going to get not much on the Fae, and not much of our familiar faces if Mercy is stranded on her own in Europe. Still, I love Patricia Briggs, so I will probably love whatever the book turns out to be.
I am defiantly going to be re-reading Fire Touched right before the book comes out.Oh, and counting down the days!
I'm not doing anything to get ready. I'm already there! It kind of sucks though that we have to wait a whole year for the next Alpha and omega book

I'm just in the countdown mode until the preorder gets here. :) I'm all caught up on this series so I always have the long wait until a new book gets released.
I'm relatively new to this fandom, so maybe someone could tell me, when Briggs writes a new Alpha and Omega novel, does it delay the next Mercy Thompson book coming out by a year (like will it be two years between Silence Fallen and then next one) or does it come out like after six months. Because as much as I adore Charles and Anna, that would suck!
Ugh. So I guess that means if/when she writes that spin-off about that white witch (forgot the name because I wasn't wild about the character) and her husband from the Charles and Anna books, it will mean a delay as well, too. That would double suck because although I like the Alpha and Omega books and definitely follow those, I know for sure I wouldn't pay for or read a novel about those characters. Bummer.

I still haven't read the last Alpha and Omega. It is a good story?
It's good. Maybe not my favorite because they go completely "on location" and we don't really get to see glimpses of other characters I really like such as Bran. I definitely like that we see lots of werewolf-stuff with Charles/Anna but I love the Mercy books more. The main reason I like the Charles/Anna books is the relationship between those two, and also we get to see the Marrok's pack!
Clones--we really need to get working on cloning our best authors. Then we could have a different clone working on each series. . . . .
Is anyone else having this problem?I'm not sure what to read first, the Mercy book or the new Others book, Etched in Bone, both releasing on the same day, both I'm looking forward to, both I have on pre-order.
I keep flip-flopping every day.
ABSOLUTELY love the idea of the clones! And yes, I am torn on Etched in Bone and Mercy. Why are both of those being released the same day? Same publisher, right? You'd think they'd spread out two books that are in the same genre and probably have the exact same readers...

Maybe I will when the saga is finished ;)
You don't need clones just read one chapter from the 2 books every day. It will take longer to finish and more suspense aha:)

But Briggs always publish in March, right? And Bishop?
I do that too Veronica. I just blow through the first reading because I'm ssoo excited. Then, after I finish it and calm down, in a day or two I'll go back and re-read it, this time taking my time (which means taking a full day to read instead of the 3 or 4 hours that I usually read a book in.)
Yes, I am the same way. I absolutely devour the book on the first reading. There's no way I could slow myself down with a one chapter a day limit. I am not disciplined enough with books :). But then after I've read it once and can breathe, I go back and reread. So excited it's nearly here!
Veronica wrote: "I have the need to read Alpha & Omega asap after finishing Silence Fallen today!!! Cannot wait!!!"I am loving Dead Heat ;)

oh yeah! i am reading a couple releases..."
Aha reading Dead Heat makes me want to re read book one where everything begins;)
I saw the new title too, maybe we will have a synopse in the middle of the year.

I've just started re-reading Fire Touched as the last one that I need to re-read to get ready. I also re-read the Alpha and Omega books too. But I think I should have taken a little longer on the re-read thing--or waited til later in the month. Or maybe I'll just re-read the whole series again.
Anyway, what are you doing to celebrate the forthcoming end of the agony of waiting?
