JSON for viewing a shelf

Could we possibly get JSON added to the API endpoints specifically for getting the list of books on a shelf? I see the threads about how JSON is not going to be added as an API endpoint for all calls, but since it was suggested we ask for specific endpoints, I am doing so here.
