Imador (someoneoncered) | 104 comments “Thanks!” She said with a genuine smile as she chuckled rubbing the back of her head. Katherine then nodded. “In a way. I’m still a freshman, and well... still getting the hang of the place,” she said shyly.

Her stomach rumbled, causing her cheeks to redden slightly as she hugged her stomach and smiled nervously.

“Hey... if you want we can go grab something to eat... and talk about books or something?” She proposed, a bit nervously because she thought it was something really out of a sudden and she didn’t knew Katherine very well.

Ryo sat at the table in the library farthest from the entrance. He was hoping that anyone coming in wouldn’t be able to see him and therefore realize that Ryo was a procrastinator. Only drama would ensue. And of course, he knew Awa would just brush it off and leave him to deal with it himself. So he sat far from the door with his foot-high stack of homework. Ugh.

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Ryo had finally had enough and tapped the guy’s shoulder. “‘Scuse me?” He said, a bit too loudly for the library. What did he care, though? Awa was a few rows down, picking out books, and she stuck her head out to shush him. Classic librarian move.

Ryo was impressed. He wouldn’t mind punching somone, being realistic. “Yeah, whatever. It’s fine.” He said, a tinge of apology in his voice. He hadn’t meant to be rude, or startle the boy.

{blAnking}

“Oh, yes please.” Ryo said, enunciating the please with extra puh. “I suck at math.” He grumbled something nasty under his breath about math and 2+2 and then finding the constant of proportionality and stupid things like that.
Awa gave him a dirty look from across the room, as if she knew what he was thinking. Maybe she did, though. He’d heard somewhere that sometimes twins shared parts of each other’s consciousness.

{bro shOrt is the definition of this rp
it’s fine}

“My … sister,” Ryo replied, looking a bit skeptically at the guy. Was he, like, interested or something? Ew. Awa was never going to date, not on his watch. “I’m Ryo. That’s Awatea (Ah-vah-tae-uh). Or just Awa (ah-vuh).”

{HE’S CUTE AF}

Ryo screwed up his face and chewed on the eraser of his pencil. “I don’t know … would it be twenty point six repeating?” He felt like he’d learned this in grade school — sixth or seventh grade — but it wasn’t coming back to him at all. Man, he was stupid.

{ahhh help me
these people are rude-ing me out}

“And that’s what google is for,” he said finally, shutting his math book and pulling out his laptop. He didn’t care if it was cheating. He understood the concept, it was just so much fricking work.

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

{I'll try}

"Oh, come on," Ryo said, bumping his shoulder against the other guy's. "Live a little. And if that's an absolute no, then I'll just figure out the answers and leave you sranded," He said, sticking his chin out for effect.

message 211: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

{what's his fc? I generally blind myself as much as my characters and don't read the character sheet haha}

Ryo laughed. "Bro. I'm not actually going to look up the answers. You think I'm, like, cool? Never in a million years." He turned his computer so that the other boy could see. He'd looked up a step-by-step method for the problem so he could learn how to properly do it.

message 212: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

{oh my GOODNESS}

Ryo raised an eyebrow. He was beyond confused. "Um ... I was showing you that it's not cheating," He said, in a lilting voice.

message 213: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Ryo grumbled something, annoyed. He lived off of attention. And this guy was giving him none. It was pointless. He turned his computer back around and proceeded to simplify the constant of proportionality. He hated math.

message 214: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Ryo glanced again at the boy’s hand deliberately. He was a tad bit annoyed, even as soft as it was. He snorted from behind his computer when the growling started.

Awa finally finished looking through the endless stacks of books and came back to their table, piling her books in front of Ryo’s computer. “Do you have the library card?” She asked in a whisper.

message 215: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Awa immediately heard the boy’s stomach and hissed something in Ryo’s ear about offering food. She knew he had a much too large stash in his bag, so why not give some of it to a suffering person?

Ryo hated sharing his food, but he pulled out a granola bar nonetheless and threw it towards the guy. “Eat,” He commanded.

message 216: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

“Your stomach says otherwise,” Ryo said, looking pointedly at the boy’s abdomen. Just take the darned granola bar.

message 217: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Awa rolled her eyes. She picked up the granola bar, whacked the boy over the head with it, and handed it back Ryo. “Usually, you take gifts,” she said quietly.

{sorry all my posts are so short lately}

message 218: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Ryo rolled his eyes and snorted. “Seriously. Sweet? Bro, just take the granola bar. It isn’t like a sacrifice or anything.”

Awa put a hand on Ryo’s shoulder to calm him down, even though he wasn’t mad. He was just fuming. Venting. But not mad.

message 219: by hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (new)

hua ‧₊˚.⟢ (190511)

Ryo took the granola bar back and threw it in the trash, to show if the boy didn’t eat it, it would go strangle some sea turtle out on the pacific or something.

{lol ok bye-bye then}
Ryo rolled his eyes, again. He stood up and closed his computer gently. “Goodbye,” He said steelily, grabbed Awa’s hand, and stalked out of the library.

{no way! we’re all good :)}

a featherless biped Elzie walked into the library holding her soaked backpack. She was still sniffling, but at least it was better than before. Elzie spotted Shen spreading his soggy book across one of the tables, and she joined him, placing her wet backpack on one of the chairs nearby. "Hey. How's life?"

a featherless biped "Unfortunately, no, though I wish I had a dragon." Elzie sighed, and sifted through her backpack, taking out the dryer books. While plunging her arm into her backpack, her fingers hit something hard. She scooped out a mini fan, and handed it to Shen. "Would this help? I don't know how it got into my backpack, but at least it's an option."

a featherless biped Elzie nodded. "No problem." She sat down in one of the chairs, and sighed again. "So, what else do we need to study for, except for the Canadian provinces quiz?"

a featherless biped "Oh, yeah..." Elzie looked at Shen's notes in pity, though most of her notes were probably wet as well. Her eyes widen as she suddenly realized that she had placed her prized, super expensive sketchbook inside her damp backpack. Elzie quickly got it out, and after being satisfied that none of the pages were even a little bit wet, she hugged it to her chest. "I think I'm okay on the provinces, but I haven't studied for the French test tomorrow," Elzie sighed as she took out more of her things. "I mean, I am Quebecois, but it's so embarrassing that I'm not even fluent in French..." Elzie glanced at Shen's notes again. "You can copy some of my notes. Mine aren't that, um, dripping wet."

a featherless biped Elzie continued to go through through her damp backpack while Shen was copying her notes, taking out the library copy of The Alice Network. She flipped through the pages, hoping that none of them were wet, since she had just remembered it was going to be due tomorrow. Phew! Thankfully it was a hardcover...
"Do you mind if I go return this book first?" Elzie held up the book, waiting for Shen's response.

a featherless biped Elzie walked quietly up to the counter, and dropped the book into the slot, hoping that none of the librarians would notice that it's wet. She walked silently back, but tripped on the chair that was carrying all of her school work. Fortunately, it was only the textbooks that fell off, otherwise her notes would be a mess.

a featherless biped "Yeah, thanks." Elzie stood up and gently took the books from Shen. She limped towards the chair, and sat down, opening her biology binder to study. She didn't want to bother Shen, but she was just really struggling on this one part. "Um, do you happen to know what happens during the three steps of fermentation?" Elzie said, flipping to find the right page of notes. "I know the steps are glycolysis, the Krebs Cycle, and the electron transport chain, but I have no idea what they do..."

a featherless biped Elzie nodded, continuing to flip towards the page of notes. She honestly didn't know anything about them. When she got to the page, she read aloud from the textbook. "Glycolysis; to break glucose, make pyruvate, and make enzymes and ATP..." Elzie suddenly turned towards Shen, remembering something. "Wait, did you check your computer to see if it worked? I'm afraid that ours could get too waterlogged to run properly..."

a featherless biped Just as quickly as her words came out, Elzie grabbed her computer out of her backpack. There was still a laptop case protecting the computer, but it was almost completely soaked through. Was this a good thing?? Or does it mean that all the water got soaked into the device??

a featherless biped Elzie handed Shen some tissues from her pocket. "Here. They're clean." She carefully zipped open the case and took her computer out. The outside looked a little wet, but it should still work... right? Right before she opened up the laptop, Elzie spotted water inside her computer's USB hole. She grimaced. "Please let this work..."

a featherless biped "Yeah, most likely," Elzie replied, handing Shen the whole packet of tissues. "At least I'll be able to get a new computer soon after using this one for five years..." She sneezed, taking some more (clean) tissues out of her pocket to wipe her nose.

a featherless biped ((Do you have any more characters? Maybe we could have them do something, like browse for books or test each other, and someone or something ruins it? Do you have any ideas?))

a featherless biped ((Just want to make sure, but is it a math textbook? You can pick whichever character you want if we're going with the idea that someone ruins Shen and Elzie's plans :) ))

Elzie carefully took the textbook from Shen, and flipped to page 192. She scanned the page, looking for the formula she was trying to find. "Okay, here's a simple one. What is the formula for simple interest?"

a featherless biped "Yep, okay, next one..." Elzie scanned the page, trying to look for a harder problem to give Shen. The Pythagorean Theorem is also kind of simple, but let's get the basics before we level up... Right before Elzie opened her mouth to speak, she spotted an older student heading their way. And he did not look too happy...
Elzie turned to Shen. "Do you know him or something?"

a featherless biped Elzie squirmed under Kenneth's accusatory tone. "Well, um, we were outside yesterday during the storm, and all our things were soaked," Elzie attempted to explain, though she couldn't help but stutter a little bit under the older student's gaze. "Now we're, uh, just studying for some upcoming tests. We're sorry if we're being messy or anything, but we are trying to be quiet..." Elzie started to arrange some of her books, attempting to make the space neater, and glanced at Shen, wishing for some help.

a featherless biped Elzie didn't expect Shen to retaliate so quickly. Before she knew it, Kenneth had Shen by the collar, muttering something in a voice too low to hear, though it sounded threatening. Elzie pursed her lips, and quietly approached them. Many heads had already swiveled their way, waiting for something exciting to finally happen.

a featherless biped "Wait up, uh, guys," Elzie attempted at breaking apart the two boys, who were attracting a wide number of stares. "How about we just calm down, and compromise?" She smiled tentatively, firmly grasping Shen and Kenneth's shoulders. Being the peacemaker can actually be hard...

a featherless biped Elzie sighed, and refrained from rolled her eyes. Why can't they just get over this simple issue?. "Hold up! Look, we're not here to make a mess, "Elzie started, looking towards Kenneth. "We were just here to study, and to, uh, organize some of our damp things." She gestured vaguely to their wet books and broken computers.

a featherless biped "Yeah...?" Elzie squirmed again under Kenneth's words. She sat back down next to Shen, and sighed. Maybe being a peacekeeper couldn't work for these kind of situations...
"It was a mistake, we get it, and now we're stuck with a cold," Elzie started, "So it's our problem to deal with, not yours."

a featherless biped ((Sorry for the late reply!))

Elzie glanced at Shen. Ignoring what he just stated, she answered Kenneth's question hesitantly, careful of her word choice so that this upperclassmen won't report on them. "Well, we did go to the nurse, but, you know, colds don't go away immediately..."

a featherless biped Leaning back in her chair, Elzie crossed her arms and looked up at the ceiling tiredly. First, they got stuck in the rain, then comes the annoying runny nose, and now they're stuck with this upperclassman that thinks he's so cool or something. Well, at least he didn't report us yet, Elzie thought to herself. She stretched in her seat, glancing between Shen and Kenneth.

a featherless biped ((Sorry for the late reply again! Life got kinda hectic for a while...))

"Well, are you just going to stand there?" Elzie said after Shen. She really needs to study for the upcoming test, and this upperclassman had already wasted ten minutes of their time.

a featherless biped ((Should we switch locations? Are they allowed to hang out outside of school? Maybe we could have them go through some false emergency or something. Or maybe they could have class together and something goes wrong. Do you have any ideas?))

a featherless biped ((Don't worry, it's totally fine. Which idea do you want to go with?))

a featherless biped ((Okay! I think Shen and Elzie has Algebra 1 and Art together. What class should we do?))

a featherless biped ((Sure! I guess I'll post first then. It's the Art Classroom right?))
